No it should deal freeze damage cuz it use deerclops eyeball.

I really think it should be multitarget (especially considering the hoops you need to get one…), but what if it worked similar to the brightshade staff where it chained between target to target compared to dealing damage in a small radius? It would give both similar results for crowds, but do so in different ways. Would also probably get a coolness bonus, since I feel it would also be pretty satisfying.

I posted an idea here before similar to that. It was a post riff upgrade to the houndious that used enlightened shards. The more shards it has, the more it bounces and stronger it is.

This. Houndius has nothing to do with electricity and should stay this way. I wouldn't mind this suggestion if electric damage setting plant mobs on fire would have been a toggle in the settings like we asked.

AoE non-electric damage would be fine though but to me houndius is fine as is already.

I said this once and i will say it agian.

NO. Houndus is good for a lot of farms BECAUSE it is diffrent than bishop (both have diffrent useges) cause it shoot single target projectal.

If klei would change houndus they would decise number of farms we can made- unless we still got old houdus in some way i am strongly against it

An item that requires defeating the game's hardest boss to craft a single unit definitely deserves a rework. It should have planar damage, area damage, or damage to multiple enemies like the Brightshade Staff. But it's hard to expect the devs to ever dedicate the time to it.

Basically, the player needs to defeat 4 bosses to gain access to the item (Deerclops, Shadow Pieces, Ancient Guardian, and Ancient Fuelweaver). Klei should have put more effort into this.
