Hi DontStarvers:wilson_bearded:

I recently tried out Warley before the skill tree, and as a solo player I've always had difficulty fighting Beequeen, I tried several strategies, but nothing seemed practical or Consistent. There are already several strategies using electric fencing (tingle node) on YouTube, but they were all relatively expensive. With that in mind, I developed my own and would like to share with the community, to make this fight less expensive.

I was using Voat Jelly without pepper seasoning, and Beequeen was wet (2.5xdmg) So if your DPS is lower, I recommend bring more armor and healing.

For this fight, I bring 4 Beekeeper Hats for protection, 4 Dark Swords and 1 Voat Jelly for DPS, and 4 Pierogs and 6 Jelly Beans(you can use more pierogs like 6+) for healing, and the 3 fences crossing the Beequeen hive as showed on vid.

In terms of actual costs for the entire fight, I only used 1 VoatJelly, 2 Jellybean, 4 Pierogs, 2 Dark Swords, and 3 Keeper Hats for the entire fight, and the fight lasted around 3-4 minutes.

I was causing 170 per hit

With just one layer of fencing, when bees stack in one spot they can push each other and some can get through.I recommend put two layers to prevent this.

I'd love to know what you thought, if you've used something similar before, and if you liked it too.

soo let me know what you think.

so reach end game to kill a boss thats available day one , nice progress

Hi Naifxoxo, I understand that some of the items I used aren't so quick to obtain, but what I intended to demonstrate is a method to avoid Beequeen's minions, making the fight more consistent and easier. If you want to defeat her fast, I suggest using the twins method, In the early days of winter you can defeat her with the twins.

in this world, I haven't get any of the rifts

The tingle node is not an endgame item; the only requirements to obtain it are defeating the Nightmare Werepig in the caves and wait 10 days for the scrapWerepig to appear in the junkyard I believe that in a fresh world you could get the electric fences at the end of winter without any problems.

I appreciate the feedback. I know the boss has been available since day one, but for a character who can't handle the minions and is playing solo, it's a difficult and costly fight.

whats end game here? you could in theory get tingle nodes day 12

Only video I can find on this has a comical amount of cheating and is on an outdated version of the game. Even still, why would beating half the game's content to get tingle nodes be looked down upon when there are other Bee Queen kill methods that take a fraction of that time?

You need to beat just nightmare werepig wait for scrappy werepig to spawn from the junk pile and then search the teetering pile atleast 10 times (as the wiki states) and run away you do not have to even fight scrappy werepig. That is one boss and a boss which is somewhat simple and easy sure you gotta go ruins but that’s not to big a ask.

You also need to read the blueprint

Back in my day, we used normal fences made with twigs and grass in the shape of an X. We didn't have your fancy-schmancy newfangled electrical fences. Nah, we had to run around the cross of fences so Bee Queen would fly over them while her Grumbles went around, and we liked it!

For consistency, aiming for 8 nodes is the best approach in this tingling business, but that means players will need to fight the Nightmare Werepig and Scrappy Werepig back-to-back thrice. Maybe players could strategically place the 4 nodes per recipe to create two layers, so that might save the hassle of progressing organically over 40 days to collect enough material for 8 nodes (Not counting the scraps from demolishing junk around the unnatural portal or Scrappy Werepigs's ability). The foundation of the strategy above is that at least the first 4 tingle nodes can be obtained within 12 days, provided players can source the two extra scraps required when defeating the boss, OR just skip the boss entirely and be a true scrap scavenger.

Furthermore, players can also bring that one panflute as a countermeasure for this minimal setup. Despite that, luck still plays a big role for some part of the preparation; the only way to get jelly beans without ever fighting BQ is through Klaus's loot, and the same applies for getting the horn ingredient - unless abusing the rollback feature. Ultimately, this process will require around 22 days (counting from day 1), in addition to defeating two or three bosses. I'll likely use this strategy for the initial kill, then transition to using catapults or clankers for future farming.

Can someone explain how reaching the endgame is related to this strategy, besides having early Volt jelly for Warly? That seems like a pretty exclusive early-game advantage.

Ah, that's right. I mistakenly thought it required infused moon glass or something.

You can find videos of people doing it with walls, but it also works with fences and I find fences far cheaper. I used to use it sometimes when playing characters who farmed so I could get bundling wrap early.

So you think killing 3 bosses in order to kill bee queen is a practical and consistent strat? i mean look what you did there, it looks pretty fancy and expensive in my opinion. Now if we talk about strategies to kill bee queen with any character you can always use followers, bugs/exploits (really cheap way to do it), or the old fahioned walls, i mean i have killed bee queen with warly before in my first spring using walls, honey poultices, a dark sword, a hambat, the volt goat jelly with chili flake and some bee keeper hats, and a rain coat of course.

Its true that using warly full potential is hard cause the lucky system of crops but even so bee queen is not a hard boss, or maybe im a little biased cause my years in the game idk.

you Just need kill 1 Boss (NightWerepigfromcaves), Jelly beans from Klaus is optional and Lucky based same for the voatjelly

you Just need Keeperhat, Hambat and Pierogs. If you are with Warley or Wormwood, you can use the batbat.

6 Scrap and 6 Glass to ignore the minions is expensive?

You still need to get a pick/axe in ruins, kill one boss and wait 10 days in order to kill her, still seems expensive to me.

Well if we talk about other characters then there are even better and cheaper strats, you can try using willow, she doesnt even need armor or healing, and if you want to tank you can use wendy or wolfgang. I prefer using winona's catapults they are cheap and you only need 5-6 catas to kill bee queen without healing items, just a few football helmets and one hambat or a morning star.

ruins It's not a big deal these days.

I can't disagree that waiting 10 days for the scrapWerepig to appear is awful.

Yes, you can incinerate all the bosses in the game with Willow without healing, armor, or weapons for the cost of one hundred bees

Yes, you can deal with the Minions with characters that have AOE like Winona and Wendy

And with Wolfgang, you cant just only tank the minions, they will chase you and deal a lot off dmg, and you will need panflutes to avoit it.

I know the method I showed in this topic may not be the fastest. but that was the way I found to have a fair fight with her without cheeseing her completely

I liked it, and it can be used with any character without AoE and panfluits without worrying about the minions.

I created this topic because I wanted to share that strat with the community and find out what they think, I've been fascinated by the electric fence ever since it came along, and I'd love to see people using them effectively in fights.

(and i dont want use they like This in a fight )

Personally I hate the Beequeen fight and believe she needs a rework.

I don't understand the complaint of waiting 10 days for scrappy to kill BQ. There's still so much to do during the downtime in the early game - those 10 days are not an inconvenience at all. Using Wilson as a benchmark with 4 tingle nodes (a trapezoid is far better in my experience with 4 tingles) to keep the grumbles at bay, it takes about ~3 marble suits, ~3 beehat, ~3 darkswords, and ~6 perogies. Of course, having at least 6 tingles to get at least 2 rows is better as a safety net for the grumbles that pass through the first

with this i cant take you seriously anymore my friend. Not all bosses need to be an easy win with cheap stuff.

And i understand that you like that method, thats good, nothing wrong about that but not all of us want to kill werepig before and wait 10 days and not all of us want to use electric fences.

And just to be really clear i like bee queen figh, it is one of my favorit boss fights in the game, i even made this video for a competiton:
