Planar damage should penetrate Slurtle, Snurtle, and Cave Spider damage reduction

In the case of Geothermite, its damage reduction is penetrated by planar damage.
This is essentially the same idea as with the mobs mentioned in the title of this post.
That is, the mob takes reduced damage because the player hits its shell.

So since Geothermite armor is vulnerable to planar damage, it should also work on the mentioned mobs.

Plus, there would be a few more creatures in the game whose armor can be penetrated by planar damage.
Currently there aren't many of those. I think there are only 3. Which one of them is only from the event.

The aforementioned Geothermite, Scrappy Werepig, and the newly added Gilded Knight.

Btw. maybe Rock Lobster's damage reduction should also be penetrated by planar damage?

I honestly just assumed that planar weapons already could, it’s strange how inconsistent planar is sometimes

To give some credit, the mobs in question have a reduction factor that just directly reduces all damage when hiding. This made sense in DS, where literally the only damage that could impact them was physical damage. Not so much in DST where there is special damage types and the like now.

Tangent but a bit funny, I remember they had issues with that when porting RoG to DST, since Wigfrid has something similar and they had to make a special exception for crafting as she could utilize the reduction to craft telltale hearts/meat effigies cheaper (her 25% reduction would reduce the damage from 40 to 30). Not like, absurdly impactful, but a bit funny.

Pretty sure she also takes less damage from eating monster meat and temperature

btw does planar damage work on enraged klaus? i know he has a damage reduction but i never tested if planar goes thru (same with toadstool with the shroom trees up)

Nope, planar damage doesn't work on their damage reduction.

And also on mobs buffed by acid rain.
