After the lunar rift opens, players will have the chance to obtain extremely powerful equipment. Additionally, updates to certain powerful skill trees have drastically reduced the difficulty of going to sea, making it quite boring and inconsistent with the doctrine that defines adventure by death. I believe new and more challenging obstacles should be added at sea, such as powder monkeys parasitized by Incursive Gestalt.

Yeah and if you don't kill them every 3 days they accumulate on the sea forming patrols and if there is enough of them gathered they can launch an ICBM on your base from up to 670 tiles away targeting mostly structures (similarly to deerclops) and obliterating all items within a 30 tile radius, that would make the game a little more uncompromising imo

I think what a lot of people need to remember is that even though DST is a Multiplayer game, that it can still actually be played completely Alone.

And I for one am not ashamed to admit that I can’t solo things like “Rabbit King” And the funny part about all of that?

If Klei would add proper content scaling & balancing to their game then solo players can enjoy content, while at the exact same time: for groups of players that content will scale to prove more difficult.

And what I mean by that is that annoying bunny overlord boss would actually be enjoyable for solo players if even the most basic of changes were made to it: such as for starters- Lowering his “Minions” to two at a time, and giving once you kill 6 of them, you can focus on the main rabbit himself.

Rather than being like it is now: Where they endlessly keep respawning until you kill off the main boss.

3 minion bunnies at once + chuck norris rabbit himself is NOT Fun.

And.. you can spawn this thing on Day 1 by dropping 10 carrots into a rabbit hole.

Meanwhile: Undead Possessed Deerclops will grow bored of & ignore your existence, or if you don’t feel like fighting it.. you can burn the corpse before it has time to mutate by using a torch on it.

I'd totally be down for some kind of ocean biome/island that strengthens with the lunar rifts similarly to the fumarole.

Spoiler

But also... is that an AI-generated image? The mutated bits look a bit melty, and Powder Monkeys don't usually have five-fingered hands...
