Let us decorate Tree Guards for Winter's Feast!

In the new Winters Feast update, Klei sneakily added a new set piece for the event. The set piece being a decorated Winter's Feast Tree and presents laying beneath it. Opening one of the gifts will activate the trap and the rest of the presents will tear open to reveal hounds and the decorated tree will come to life as a Tree Guard, shaking off it's festive ornaments.

It would be such a cute feature for the Tree Guards to keep their ornament apparel when they wake up and maybe even allow players decorate neutral Tree Guards during the event as well! Ive always wanted to be able to festivize Tree Guards during the event for many years now!

i would so be into this~ i utilise treeguars quite often so having the millers be decorated would be super neat!

This set piece surprised me so much! Got so excited by the gifts only for the hounds to scare the living bajeeezus out of me!

What happens if you just pick up all the gifts? Or does that trigger them?

you can only pick up one gift. the rest turn into hounds

I managed to pick up 2 gifts without triggering it. Im assuming its has to be either the moving or non moving one

Look closely at the gift, the static is the normal gift, the shaking is the hound gift. 

It won't trigger if you pick up a hound gift. But if you pick up a normal gift, the trap will be triggered.

I don't fully know what the deal is, but I've experienced on multiple occasions getting a second gift from the same Xmas trap setpiece. Rather, after fighting the crowd, I see a gift that's left intact in the pile of decorations. If most people aren't seeing this, I'll chalk it up to something weird happens if you obliterate the crowd too quickly (been playing with stupid-broken mod characters lately)

checked the wiki;

"Wild Winter's Feast Trees always spawn with several Gifts surrounding them. While a few are good gifts, most are bad gifts. Bad gifts display a special animation, as if something is hiding inside. Picking up a good gift or unwrapping any gift will trigger the trap, causing each bad gift to spawn one Hound and the Winter's Feast Tree to transform into a Treeguard."

Pick up the bad gift i think. A friend of mine did that earlier and handed it to me lol

I know its not what youre asking for, but you can redecorate those tree guards before they wake at least. 

Too bad they shake the ornaments off though
