Mushlights/Glowcaps could be upgraded to illuminate a 6x6 area or slightly larger using the Celestial Jewel item. This item loses its usefulness after being used on a crown, and this change would make better use of Toadstool's loot. To illuminate a 6x6 area, I have to use 4 Mushlights or Glowcaps. If I could get this QOL after defeating Scion multiple times, it would be a good addition in my opinion. The impact is positive for (Misery) Toadstool and on replayability against Scion.

I agree, and I think the area of light from jewel should be much larger - same as star caller's light radius, since the latter is an upgrade to fire pit which in turn has a light radius comparable to mushlight. It also gets old quickly to fill the base with mushlights and having more freedom with sparser placement would be great.

Mushlight powered by celestial jewel would also finally fix the issue of boat navigation in the dark - yellow staff's light doesn't stick to boat but mushlight would.

Really good idea.

And I think it would be a cool idea if you couldn't just put jewels into mushlights and you had to put celestial shards with jewels in them.

It would then make sense to place both items in mushlights. One powers the mushlights and stops rotting of items placed with them, while the other increases the glowing power provided by the celestial shard.
And then it would be consistent with the celestial crown. Because currently, jewels can be inserted into the celestial crown, but not into the celestial shard.

Yes, I definitely want that. Farming Scion would make much more sense, and the lamps would look bette, they could activate the lunation effect within a small area.

Byłoby to zgodne z niebiańską koroną. Ponieważ obecnie klejnoty można umieszczać w niebiańskiej koronie, ale nie w niebiańskim odłamku.

I really don’t feel this idea at all. It should be consistent in terms of power, atmosphere, and consequences. A shard is a weak container/catalyst for stable, utilitarian things. A Scion jewel is condensed power from the top-tier lunar boss. Putting a jewel into a shard shouldn’t work like ‘battery + battery’, but like an overload, the shard can’t contain it, so the world around it reacts: ground mutations, Gestalts appearing, lunation effects. Otherwise, you don’t feel at all that this is a Scion jewel, just a simple light upgrade, and that completely kills the lunar-side atmosphere.

I mean a simple light upgrade from this method would be fine. The light radius from the mushlight and glowcap has always been kinda pathetic once you've set up a few. There is already a lot of people who don't like the enlightenment filter on constantly and having it on while it lights up your base would kinda ruin the magic of mushlights having a larger light radius.
