So like, its been a little while, but we still havent gotten any skill trees for the rest of the characters.

Am i missing something? Did the developers say that they werent adding any more skill trees this year or habe they just given up on them?

 

I dont really care because i stopped playing the game (probably going to get back into it eventually idk), just wanna know whats up

No skill trees are to be expected this year and early next year. They never said they stopped making them, so it's safe to assume they will keep making them, just not in the near future.

They are focusing in the holidays events currently (and in enjoying the holidays, as they should); early next year they will focus on the year-of event, and on finishing the shadow arc.

Also, because skill trees take a long time to make, they're combining several characters into single characters next year. This will save a lot of time making skill trees, because there will be less characters.

I think they said the first two combined characters will be Warly and Wickerbottom. The new character will be named Warlabottom.

There will be more, just not any this year. Skill Trees take time to come up with, Klei has to sit around and decide how they want to use those skills to convey each characters personality & playstyle & they have to do it carefully so that those characters do not become broken Overpowered Gods.

The last few characters who have yet to get reworked already have pretty deep gameplay, most the characters who got skill trees already needed more depth.

WX78, Maxwell, Wickerbottom, Warly, Webber & Wes. (No im absolutely NOT counting Wanda because she was the last paid DLC character & by that time: Was a pretty well built character without Reworks & Skill Trees… she probably will still get one: But I highly doubt she will be high priority.)

You have to ask the question: How do you give the former shadow king, who Carries around the Codex Umbra the book that conjure’s shadows from its pages and allows him to remodel the constant in his own image, how do you give that guy a Skill Tree?

Yeah this is confirmed. The character-merger is in beta currently, with a skill tree expected to come in Q3 of 2029
