Mariolo
With the new plant husk gas grass can make you quite a lot of dirt, especially if you can get exuberant on it. However if you try to compost plant husk to make dirt you have to constantly refresh the command to do it. Maybe there should be a way to select some materials that should be automatically composted. 7 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168713-auto-compost-please/ Share on other sites
Shinkarr
Second this. But I think this was suggested multiple times over the past 5 years or so. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168713-auto-compost-please/#findComment-1842376 Share on other sites

I'd be happy with a building that receives materials (via conveyor input or even dropping them on top of the building, for example) and sets their "compostable" attribute so that I could just let dupes take it from there or let autosweepers do their magic. Call it a compost box, mulcher, you name it... Even just some building that sets whatever material that qualifies that goes through it as "compostable". Having to wait for materials to pile up and manually hit that compost button gets old pretty fast. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168713-auto-compost-please/#findComment-1842387 Share on other sites
Gurgel
I would think a configurable filter-list on each compost heap should solve this. JRup
I'm certain there's a solution we can borrow from somewhere... Let's build a hopper on top of the compost so that it can receive compostables. Hmm, "sounds right". 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168713-auto-compost-please/#findComment-1842894 Share on other sites
