SamLogan
On shared beds & a simple hygiene loop (with rocket use-cases) With Mess Tables now public by default, it would be great to offer the same policy toggle for Cots/Comfy Beds: “Public” vs “Assigned.” To make it meaningful, add washable sheets as a light consumable (crafted from Reed/Feather Fiber). Sheets slowly soil; dirty sheets apply a small Morale/Hygiene penalty and trigger a “Change Sheets” chore. A compact Laundry machine (water + power in → Polluted Water + heat out) cleans sheets and plugs into existing sieves. Crucially, private bedrooms consume a lot of footprint and pathing, especially in early/mid bases; public dorms would reduce sprawl without heavy micro. And this system would shine in rocket cockpits/interiors, where every tile is precious—shared, maintainable bunks fit perfectly into tight layouts and tie neatly into onboard life-support (water → laundry → PW → sieve), enabling longer missions without dedicating half the cabin to sleeping quarters. SkunkMaster
How would you feel about using the same, unmade, bed as stinky and/or meep? - Just sayin, a table and a bed is not comparable 😛 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168630-shared-mess-table-so-why-not-shared-bed/#findComment-1843075 Share on other sites
