I saw lots of people complaining it isnt a hot biome, maybe they changed the heat made by fumaroles but it is a really hot biome, I was overheating even in Winter.

 

This was a really interesting survival mechanic I am glad to see. To gather the boulders I had to deal with the heat produced by the vents.

However, I can destroy these vents to remove heat sources to try and gain safe spaces for me, thought this was really cool.

Though, there still seems to be a problem, this only matters in the retrofitted biome where everything is very dense and the heat vents are close together.

 

Maybe they fumarole biome should be more like the retrofit version?

I saw a Webber get burnt really quick in the biome in summer so idk. He hit 88 degrees. But also had a beard so idk if that adds anything?

They should not keep warm in winter... In other biomes, the heat from it is good.

No, it's probably few people during the beta who didn't tested and played the game properly and make me disappoint in why gave your criticism/opinions if you don't test even the game....

Unless they know some weird strange secret tactic that I don't know (and it could be since it's Don't Starve we're talking about), the biome is really cool (badum tss) and challenging in its temperature. I never died there but it damaged me if I was careless. Why they said that, it's beyond me.

That's the problem. I tried to tell Klei about fumaroles regeneration, you know it.

That's the thing. Maybe through insulation people bypass it? In that case it's not the biome fault or heating, it's the weird balance and coding of Klei of temperature and clothing.

Beard does influence absolutely. If you're not careful of your beard you heat pretty fast. You never knew?

In winter and spring they should cool down.
And yes. They should be indestructible. The more dangerous biomes in the game that are not affected by the player's powers, the better.
Imagine if all the rifts in the ruins could be destroyed. What would be the point?

Before this update, it was indeed the case that if the world temperature was not high enough, insulation clothes would not be effective. This update of the Fumarole biome has an independent world temperature, which is always hot, so the insulation tool can be used normally.
