I don't get those numbers at all. Why is P(X) on Wave 2 10.00%? Is that a typo?

X and Y are "Individual" and "Any" from past context.

ye. that's a typo, my bad. It should be 1.22 for GDW/year

Their analysis is the probability that wave X has a GDW, given that you know nothing about the result of previous waves and that the first wave has a probability of 0. The results aren't applicable anymore after a pass/fail happens. This is because co-successes are counted together and because encountering a fail event updates your knowledge of the future probability distribution.

It doesn't really tell you how long you can expect to wait for a GDW though. 

The entire point was that you need to kill many GDWs for loot, not will you be attacked at any given wave number. The latter has no real world meaning.

Right, thats the real problem. It's a seasonal giant level threat as far as HP goes, and it's scaled to pop about as often, but nobody spends that much time in the caves.

Also yes. There's an earthquake IIRC, sounds and text signals that are sent well in advance that the GDW is coming. You have to be actively bossing to miss it (which I think is good design).

not really, maximum 35 days for summer and autumn and I get it almost every summer. like I would say 7 out of 10 summers she shows up.

I probably spend 12 days underground for summer. I've never, ever seen it naturally.

My worlds tend to last about 3 years.

I've been unlucky for every single world I've played, since the introduction of GDW.

I'm not sure how many worlds total, I want to say at least several.

It sounds like you probably need to completely uninstall & reinstall the game again, I play games on Xbox & while it isn’t often: You can get a broken or incomplete update, the only way to fix a broken or incomplete update is to delete the entire game and reinstall it. Ive had to do this for small games like DST, Medium sized ones like Fortnite, and unfortunately: also the 120+ GB monsters like GTA, Ark & Call of Duty.

When DST was getting monthly content updates: It was a pretty common occurrence for me actually. I do not know if this is your specific problem or not.

If you play on PC one or more of your mods may be interfering with the GDW, that Or your just extremely lucky (or unlucky?) That it hasn’t shown up yet.
