Hey guys, this patch is mainly bug fixes related to all the electric changes.  We hope to get some other features, like the Drying Rack, in another patch before the end of the week.

Changes

  • “Electric Fence Post” is renamed to  “T.I.N.G.L.E. Node”
  • T.I.N.G.L.E. Node recipe now costs 6 Scrap and 6 Moon Shards.
  • Improved T.I.N.G.L.E. Electric field
    • Most creatures should no longer get past on their own
    • Note that many many creatures pushing up against each other may escape a fence, and this is intentional.
  • Plant based creatures (including Wormwood) that burn when electrocuted, now have a shortened shock state if available.  (Previously, they were just using the hit state, and Wormwood was using the full length player shock state.)
  • Mandrakes are now burnable and freezable.
    • The planted mandrake will regrow if it burns.
  • Electric damage from Volt Goats and Moongleams will now factor in target based electric damage multipliers.
  • Added an effect for electric attacks against an enemy immune to electric damage.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Shadow Splumonkeys, Retinazor, Spazmatism, Moon Moths, Gestalt Projectiles, and Prickly Stagehand not being properly aligned.
  • Fixed W.A.R.B.I.S. Head Gear not being protected against electricity.
  • Fixed Warblers not properly shocking entities.
  • Fixed bug causing electric effects to chain to allies.
  • Fixed Wigfrid getting shocked when dashing through a linked T.I.N.G.L.E. Node with her Elding Spear.
  • Fixed Chest Mimics and similar non-shockable entities from being unable to damage Electric Fence Posts.
  • Fixed an issue with the T.I.N.G.L.E. Node pairing mode replaying its loop sound constantly.
  • Fixed lightning bolt from Wigfrid’s Warrior’s Reprise not being affected by things like Lightning Rods.
  • Fixed Mutant Birds shock effects being unusually large.
  • Fixed Volt Goat Chaud-Froid buff and WX-78’s Electricification Circuit to properly chain and shock.
  • Fixed crash sometimes when Rabbit King spawns.
  • Fixed Depth Worms not being electrocuted properly.
  • Electrocute effects are now synced across all parts of the Great Depths Worm.
  • Fixed a bug with electricity causing Clay Vargs and Hounds to turn invisible.
  • Fixed crash in Pearl’s electrocute state.
  • Added more missing electrocute states.
  • Fixed an uncommon crash for entities with collision callbacks.
  • Fixed obstacle physics entities (such as Imprisoned Nightmare Werepig, or Brightshades) being unable to collide with the T.I.N.G.L.E. Electric Field.
  • Fixed a crash when attacking a Brightshade Vine segment.
  • Fixed Sea Weeds not being shockable.

Since you are looking into mandrakes, would it be possible to look into allowing “dead” mandrakes to have a method to turn them into planted ones for decor? I used to love doing this in DS back when deconstructing pan flutes caused them to spawn as planted mandrakes, and missed that it became impossible in DST due to it being a bug.

No malicious intent just asking because I am actually dumb, but, what use cases would shocking enemies after they attack have?

It deals dmg to attacker and can stun nearby enemies, so basicly good for crowd control
(don't use it against plant based enemies cuz they catch on fire)

I'm confused. Does this means plants no longer burn when electrocuted or they simply have now a shortened stun + burning?

Also, apart from drying racks, some notes about all the good community ideas and feedback about this update?

What about finishing the "drowning rework"?

Crows got a lunar mutation this patch, but it's not fully implemented.

weren't the moon blind crow and the misshapen bird supposed to be the lunar mutated versions?

Basically that. Plus can prevent some "chained" attacks (ex: 2nd hit from a tentacle).
