So... Water balloons, huh?

Absolutely one of the weirder items in the game considering they don't actually make things wet. Which is a bit odd, in'it?
They do wonders for putting out fires, but that's it. Still in modern day I'm seeing people assuming they'd make mobs and other things wet, which would be logical, yeah? But that's not the case at all!
In fact, it's only Dragonfly who has the proper components to actually be affected by wetness/water balloons.

To my understanding, giving these same components to every other mob and item or whatnot would have disastrous effects on performance, but surely this isn't the only way to make water balloons actually do their job right?

I bring this up now because the new electric attack changes have probably been the most idle fun I've had in a long time, and I'd love to have just that extra ounce of more practical use to them. I don't think it'd be terribly busted or anything, considering the need to go out and get the balloons and hold onto them in the first place, it just seems like wicked fun.
Plus it's just... really, really weird water isn't wet. Unless that's just Constant rules, aahaha.

Would be cool if there was a simplified wetness system for other creatures, like instead of the game keeping track of every unit of wetness constantly it only bothers if you throw a water balloon at the enemy and then just timers down from there without checking for any other checks beyond being close to direct heat for like 5 seconds.

You can wet structures which prevents them being ignited by wild fires by awhile (it’s not effective, it’s like 2 minutes) so it is wet.

it wouldn’t be broken on mobs anyway, as their wetness would fall overtime, dealing less of an electric modifier.

If this is added it would be cool if some mobs had the ability to shake off any water. This would prevent electricity from being a solution for every encounter (although I'm sure many creatures would also be immune/resistant to wetness if it is added).

Boss mobs (Bearger, Malbatross, Deerclops) could even shake off giant droplets of water that damage players and make them wet. Considering Malbatross dives underwater alot this would essentially add another attack to her fight.
