The main issues of walls are that they get destroyed too easily, and that if there's even one wall missing all mobs will just path find to it so unless you use gates there's no point of using them how there supposed to be used. So if they give them more hp, and let mobs not path find to the one wall gap 10 tiles away, they might finally serve a purpose besides dfly and decor. An example being the pathfinding exploit with certain structures like fossils that leave mobs running in one place forever. These are just only examples I made on the spot, for making the point clearer.
