xhyom Posted June 11, 2025 Share Posted June 11, 2025 (edited) We're already closing the arc that started with this proposal of having choices to make, and the leader (who we imagined to be at least) of one of the factions that we were supposed to choose is presumably dead and we haven't made any choices other than some skilltrees that have this option so far, in the end we just complete the content on both sides without any problems. I know there's obviously more beyond this arc and it could happen later on, but it doesn't seem like any of the updates have had any intention of doing that so far, so Quote The update following "Taking Root" will focus on a shadow equivalent of these rifts. As we have been hinting at - there is an equal and opposite force that is intended to conflict with the lunar rifts, and they are each intended to counteract with the other. As we said previously, players are going to want to choose one side or the other and with only one side available, it's just going to be confusing and weird. Mike23Ua Posted June 12, 2025 Share Posted June 12, 2025 If I could go back in time I would erase the whole Lunar/Shadow Quest line shenanigans thing, double down on the ocean and new islands out in said ocean.. And oh yeah I would add floor traps, wall traps, locked doors, levers, pressure weighted floors etc… all the standard stuff that makes a good RogueLite/Like. I mean FFS Klei adds a late game earth quake to caves content that drops boulders, yet there’s no really cool and clever puzzles where I need to place these boulders on pressure plates to activate doors or bridges. As it stands right now though: you just choose one or two “Skills” that helps you to fight Shadow or Lunar Entities Woodie can go shadow and not be attacked by shadows while transformed, or go lunar and not transform during full moons.
