A philosophical conundrum: Is Plant Meat meat?

Should Rhexes be able to eat Plant Meat? They currently can't, but that'd be a nice synergy for a food item that is mostly ignored today.

I don't think plant meat contributes towards carnivore so I'd say no. I still think most critters are an easier source of meat even then

Not realy but it would be nice if it was used in at least one recepie it is realy forgoten right now.
And ealting live creatures is theme of this dlc so it would be nice if they revisited the plant.

I'd definitely like a use for plant meat.

Although i do sort of see the reason it's kept bad: The Saturn critter trap is an absolute beast of an energy production engine. Several of them can power most colonies with their hydrogen output when coupled with a beeta hive. And all they need is some polluted water. That alone makes them ridiculously OP.

AND they make FOOD?!?!

The bonus food production makes them over the top. So i can sort of see why they don't want to make the food too good to encourage us to ranch/farm other foods. We're already using the saturn critter traps for energy, its not like we need more encouragement to use them.. If anything, maybe they should take away plant meat production because they're already OP.

That being said. I would still LOVE another use for plant meat. Like a recipe or the ability to feed it to Rhex. For now i'm just sending all my plant meat to the sap tree but that's kinda boring.

Wait, does plant meat count as meat otherwise?

If not maybe have a recipe to smoke it . . . . wait, if you smoke it would it be smoked veggies or smoked meat?
