So, when the fence is active during the fight with Enlightened W.A.R.B.O.T., player cannot teleport with the lazy explorer to the boat next to it, and Wortox's teleportation around the map is completely disabled.
This is of course something great, because it shows the endgame nature of this boss. However, Winona and Wanda are still able to teleport.
Would it be possible for their teleports to also be blocked during the fight with Enlightened W.A.R.B.O.T.?

Wanda is the queen of this game, who has traveled through different timelines and has probably already seen the events to come. She is too clever and cunning for any Wagstaff to be able to disable her escape watches. It should stay as it is.

It's kinda taken care of. When a player goes outside the box they're treated as dead and Warbot will return to the center of the island and go into sleep mode. Warbot cannot be attacked or reaggrod when this happens.

…why is it a good thing for teleportation to be arbitrarily disabled like that?

Probably because this is the final boss of the lunar side, and being able to leave, heal and stock up on resources, and then come back with little repercussions (as with Celestial Champion) would take away from that for some people.

Yeah I think this is just a oversight. Devs just disabled lazy explorer and forgot about the other teleportation abilities.

I mean, when you look at that way, isn't Wortox a godlike creature that can jump across dimentions on will?

I'm pretty sure that no amount of arena restrictions could hold Wortox in if he(or the player) wants to be out.

Did I miss something here?? When a solo player leaves a bosses area, that boss fully restores full HP like you never even fought it.

My only guess as to why it’s restricted is because the game is Multiplayer, and players can’t escape to heal while someone else keeps fighting.

Klei actually needs to make this like Mad Moxxis Underdome Riot- As in: When players die off they are teleported to a penalty box and can not re-enter the arena until all players inside are dead, or the remaining players still in the battle zone manage to win.

I don’t really understand how. That isn’t CC-unique behavior, literally every other boss in the game lets you escape, stock up on supplies now that you know what you’re dealing with, and return later. Fuelweaver does it (more leniently than CC too, since CC can overheal if unloaded), and nobody ever shuts up about how hard he is, so clearly letting players run away doesn’t ruin difficulty. What else are players who haven’t spoiled themselves supposed to do, win first try?

tbh the whole thing seems pointless, what's so bad about players running away?

cuz WARBOT is (or at least seems to be) the final boss of the game, it would be like it would make the entire thing anticlimactic

Okay, let's see. Wortox can...

- Go to Terraria and back without any issues
- Just disappear as he so wishes
- Disrespect The Constant's usually inescapable boundaries
- Overpower a former ruler if he was in the prequel... ahem:

But he can't escape a stupid robot surrounded by electrical fences. WHAT?
Make him an exception or something, I guess. Ties into the lore accuracy. I dunno.

Clearly Wortox stays in the arena for the love of the game or whatever. It's fun to fight

if anything, i think you should be able to teleport out of the arena, the boss resets if you do that

That's the thing, it does

If you manage to get out of the arena the boss will walk back to the center of the island, and cannot be reaggrod. It will not take damage. It will continue it's walking animation to the center and resettle.

If DST kept the Don't Starve attitude of dying to learn something, then I think putting the unsuspecting player in a cage would be fine.  As DST is today, your argument is very strong.
