Wes skill tree idea that makes wes more appealing to play without buffing him at all.

Should Wes skill tree be about quests or challenges that gives little rewards?

  1. 1. Would you like a wes skill tree that adds specific challenges like quests to do with wes?

Wes is meant to be the handicap character. He's supposed to be weaker than everyone else. That much, of course, should go without saying. The issue with this, however, is that this isn't a single player game, it's a game of cooperation among players to survive. This makes Wes an undesirable teammate, as he consumes resources while contributing less than everyone else.

So how do you compromise this?

My take: turn him into a proper support character. One who is useless on his own, but empowers other players to become even better. Make him like a bard that can provide auras for his team. Or like a tank that pulls aggro, and teammates get buffed when he takes damage. Maybe his presence raises nearby players' sanity or adds resistances to harsh seasonal weather.

It's a good idea to make wes a support but we already have tanks and bards(wigfrid, woflgang, wendy). Maybe adding challenges to give some perma buff or good team rewards could help with this without actually making wes more easy to play. Like if wes can kill df during summer with all his friends the whole server(excluding wes) can get extra fire damage resistance and extra heat insulation(only if the wes with that challenge done is in the server), this would make wes a good support for the whole server and at the same time wes gets extra loot from df(and because the challenges are specific task for wes they are not a buff at all, if wes kill df during autum he dont get the challenge done so no reward for him). Just  tiny reward for wes like extra loot and a good perma buff for the team. But to be hones all this skill tree ideas are making me think that if they are done wilson is gonna become worst than wes and i dont wanna do that to Higgsbury.

tbh i think the best way they can go with wes skill tree is the whole comedy/tragedy thing someone made before
(i forget link)
where you need to pick tragedy perks ( where it gives you downsides) to get upsides

It is this one, I also find it really cool.
