adminaaassh Posted March 12, 2025 Share Posted March 12, 2025 Since the Crabpack has reappeared, I noticed this skin and, after searching, discovered that it was originally part of a game mechanic. Around 2017, a regular backpack would decay after being left on the ground for a while and transform into this Moldy Backpack. However, this mechanic was later removed, though the backpack skin itself seems to have been retained. It appears that Klei has not provided any way to obtain this skin, making it likely the only skin that no one has ever acquired. I saw its appearance in an old video, and it looks absolutely adorable. I wonder if Klei has considered making this skin obtainable. I really hope there will be a way to acquire this fun and cute skin. I've talked about him more than once, suggesting that he be included in the survivors' collection. You drop a backpack on the ground for 2 milliseconds and by the time you blinked it was instantly a moldy backpack lol. I think it would be funny if they added a secret way to get it into the game like the way you get that chest & walking cane skin pair. Go through all the effort of solving these puzzles to get rewarded with a moldy backpack. It's the last skin line that has belongings obtainable only via steam community market or random drop. Not to mention that Wanda, Wormwood, Warly and Wurt are STILL missing their respective skins from this collection.
