Should Walter (Woby) have more extra bonus efficiency on marble?

I was thought the Woby's ability is not fine enough.

It's seems still not enough for marble mining. But it seems quite unreasonable for other resources collecting - just because of what you said.

Maybe when Woby has the Shadow or Lunar skill, her mining and chopping abilities are slightly increased (like a pick/axe but sligtly less powerful?), since her horns are literally made of Dreadstone/pure brilliance.

I don't think it makes much sense for Walter to have a mining efficiency against marble specifically. If the concern is the need for marble, maybe they can give the marble rounds a similar property to dreadstone rounds where they have a chance to not break?

Sounds more reasonable than my idea

I think having Woby help you initially, then getting a Forest Walker to do it once you've defeated FW is fine personally.

I do think it would be nice to be able to mine using Woby while you're on her back, mainly because she is hard to control what she mines, sometimes targeting non fully grown marble trees.

yess! i'd super appreciate an improvement for marble harvesting, as Walter or in general tbh, ngl i've bean thinking about it for years :love-struck:

It's currently 10 strikes from a pickaxe to fell a full Marble Shrub for 1 guaranteed Marble + a 2nd Marble or a Marble Bean..
So a simple fix: lower the pick strikes needed and/or boost the drops, 

or
Marble Bean Hammer: Twigs×3 Marble Beans×3 Rope×2
- based on the Hammer recipe, Twigs×3 Rocks×3 Rope×2
- works better than a Pickaxe on Marble Shrubs/Trees and lasts much longer, plus it can still be used as a regular Hammer 

or
Mutated Marble: Planting Marble Beans in Mutated Fungal Turf (or re-turfing under an existing Marble plant) results in additional stage of "mutated" growth, dropping extra Marble when mined 

or
Boost the drops from Marble Trees compared to Marble Shrubs, and give us conditions to meet to ensure a Marble Bean grows into the higher-yield Tree: 
- The Large Marble Tree drops 3 Marble + 2 Marble Beans, to be more in line with the other Tree varieties, 
- The stump can be dug up but will be a Log, or if left the stump will regrow, into a Tree if conditions remain met, or into a Shrub if the tree conditions are not met 
-> Plus, these Marble Trees count for Walter's 5-tree-boost, so it's a Marble cache with sanity-boosting benefits 

or
Sproutrock variant giving bonus Marble: Change the Sproutrock's turf to any Marble tile (Checkerboard Flooring, or any Mosaic Flooring) to grow Geode Fruit as usual, giving 1 bonus Marble for each Geode Fruit harvested 

or
Marble Stone-Fruit variant: Any stone fruit plant growing in certain turfs (Marble Floorings, or Mutated Fungal, etc) gives "Marbled" or "Mutated" Stone Fruit, dropping Marble in place of Rock 

Instead of making Woby's mining more efficient, I'd honestly prefer that they just make her only mine the same tier of marble tree you're mining. It'd be so nice if I didn't have to wait for all of them to be fully grown at the same time before letting Woby help me.

I usually bypass marble by setting out some nice ocean soaked eggs in my base, boating for 3-4 days in early winter, or something of the sort. Theres enough ways to generate 4000 rounds of a desirable ammo that marble ammos fallen out of my playbook (Except in worlds where setpieces give me something absurd like 24 in setpiece marble thats easily gathered.)
So really its just the suits I'm looking at if I'm not wearing night armor, given you have so many sanity resources even that looks kinda smart to use.

Still I'd love for shock ammo to get made cheap enough that it serves as a decent budget alternative to marble that way all three skills have a good sidegrade to marble.

Yes, the different marble tree level makes the mining of marble being quite annoying... I guess Maxwell's shadow minions would have similar problems
