I mostly use wormwood’s crafts to get the tamer version of the berry bush and to get more juciy berry bushes when there’s not many of them. I also try to get the lunar version of the sapling.

I mean as Wortox OTP I enjoy Wormwood as swap character obvi

but as Wormwood the crafting branch is still valuable for establishing infinite healing and resource generation
perhaps it has a lifespan, but before I get there it could be as well day 2000 depending on what I wanna do and even if so
there aren't other interesting options for me

and that branch is especially awesome when playing as Wormwood because you can fully appreciate it's value

In short:
I love crafting branch in every aspect and scenario

Edit:
also 4th question should have "all above" for uses because this branch is too versatile just for 1 purpose lol

I don't use the celestial portal at all. While I personally really like the other part of left branch(mushroom planters), I prefer getting bloom, shade plant, and photosynthesis perks. I like never having to spend a second on summer prep, healing from minor ticks of damage(or free living logs every day), and grinding for bloom upkeep.

I think some of the aspects are very good on the crafting branch. But my issue with is that those skills are gatekept behind completely useless ones. And simply changing world gen settings achieves the same result. You want saplings only in twiggy tree worlds. You want "this bush" in a world with the "not that bush". Etc. Both of those are something you can already manipulate in world gen settings. The point of them is that you can alter the game to your liking, it's meant to be used. Maybe give some buff to his lesser crafts? No need to feed it manure? More harvests? Idk. I can only imagine using it for reeds, lureplants, or if I for some reason want two types of berry bushes. And even then you are better off changing world gen settings to guarantee juicy berry bushes, because you for some reason need regular berry bush crafting for juicy berries. It's kinda ridiculous that even if you really want to use it, you would get better use from it by meddling world gen. Although I might just not know how to use it.

The rest of the skill tree is really good. From making farming even easier, giving him more combat perks, faster healing animations, further reducing his maintenance costs, producing absolutely massive amounts of vegetable mushroom fillers for crockpots(I have enough shrooms to feed a full server with literally just 3 planters. Can you imagine how much time it saves for everyone with their minimal maintenance?) giving him immunity to moon shroom grogginess(eating them is quicker than planting, eating them raw is quicker than cooking green caps, they provide hunger. And are also, a pan flute!). The rest of his tree is just too awesome to pass up.
