Tarnishedmax Posted February 8, 2025 Share Posted February 8, 2025 Im just in love with this new Walter tree, they seriously nailed it perfectly this time, but i think you all have already heard this, what im personally really happy about is how many things inside this tree have been said and seen before in these forums (some even are mine hehe) and its just SO wonderful how the devs actively listen to feedback and get as far as even adding stuff that people ask for. I just wanted to bring attention to this because it sets a really good example and how its genuinely useful to give constructive criticism and not just say "tree bad" over and over again, the wait was painful but oh my god its so worth it, i dont think i have any gripes or issues with this new tree, like at all. They need no rework or adding new branch like Walter but as devs said all 3 characters work in parrallel so Wortox should get suitable adjustment later I believed. I have made a list of issues yesterday but idk if that will help I hope it does, personally I'm kinda burnt out for advocating tweaks in Wortox's Skilltree. Seems they're being completely ignored. At this point, I'm looking forward to Walter's Skilltree being completed and the 45th Skill revision that Wendy players are demanding and just want this Beta to be done. Keep criticisms constructive and polite. "Constructive" does not mean someone has to agree with or even like something, but rather that the way they present and discuss it is productive- They may offer alternatives, they can say why they believe something doesn't work, they can say how it makes them feel and what they want to be done about it. That's constructive. What is unconstructive is, like OP mentioned, simply saying, "I don't like this" or "I want this" without elaborating or saying much of anything else, or worse, telling other users that their opinion or thoughts are wrong just for going against what you may believe, or insulting the developers/other users. It's not just about saying something is bad or that you want something, it's about saying why it is bad or why you want something, and what could be done about it. Just saying “I don’t like it” can be taken in a million different ways and is usually ignored because of it, because there's nothing to ground the statement in anything constructive. There's no context as to what the user means or any useful information provided as to why making such a change would benefit the game. Users also need to be able to be open to the idea of their opinion being debated. Klei historically almost never adds exactly what players directly request/suggest on the forums. If you're looking for or waiting for them to add a suggestion 1-to-1 with what someone posted, it is very unlikely to happen that way. Yeah it's amazing, pretty much everything on the tree made me go "oh I remember seeing this in the forums" and it makes me want to track down all those posts that got implemented. Like said walter shows a way to do that. And i think thats just what wendy players want.
