Steorra
I was seen someone got a warning point by a simple word "gaslighting" I was see someone is okay when they accuse me as "gaslighting" for a completely unrelated post. I was seen someone could be okay even they did may personally attack. I was got a warning point by a complaining which is completely toward non specific person (non personally complaining and without any slander or insults.) Is this fair? Yaorin yon
Many times, I feel that some managers seem to have not taken corresponding responsibilities when exercising their rights and are unwilling to answer specific reasons. This makes the implementation of this feature more like an abuse of power than compliance management. I think a stricter work attitude is needed in this regard. Without knowing the specifics of this particular situation, remember that you don't see the warnings that other people get. So you don't know whether they were warned or not over their post. As I assumed all messages which may got warned would be hide first. This makes me believe that the "gaslighting" accusation to me was "ok" to moderators. And yes, there's a difference is that I was saw many other post which gave the "gaslighting" accusations was all hidden in the end (they disappeared for normal users), and some of my friends who did same thing got warning point by their "gaslighting" accusation post. (The evidence was wrong fact after I recheck it again I found it was just an incomplete result which may caused by the limiting of the searching function. I'm sorry if it caused misunderstanding.) (And according to the reason I mentioned above, it become a bit confusing to me if what I think is true or not true. Which makes me decide to cancel my questioning here before I made it clear.) Uedo
Yeah same, there's a post that calls me mentally ill because someone disagreed with me. My post was removed, however you could still see their comment about me. I reported it, but it wasn't upheld and then suspiciously I was unable to report the post again - getting an error message each time. Did I care to report it really? No. But it's the principle. An example from another time: I hadgot a wall of text from someone (specifically being unspecific here) to chastise me on what they believed my motivations were about a post, despite them completely not understanding me as a person or what I even meant, they were insistent. The second example was resolved outside of the forums by someone and they were extremely helpful and helped me to have a bit of empathy for the persons outburst, but still it was really off-putting. I think they try their best though, but yeah it can appear a little erm ramshackle, for lack of a better word, at times, but again I do think they work to the best of their abilities, I just wish they were a little more corporate. Sometimes having a neutral approach to moderation is better when dealing with large volumes of users.
