Pipspook 3 makes Killing Large mobs drop some Morning Glory

Recommended Posts

Large mobs:

1. All Hunt mobs. (Koalaphant drops 2, the rest 3)

2. Bosses. (Balanced depending on what. Raid bosses drop more than the rest). Treeguards and spider queen level bosses drop 3, seasonals and Malbatross level drop 4, Werepig and guardian level drop 5, raid bosses drop 6.

3. Beefalo, Gators, Sharks, Gnarwhales. All drop 1 glory. There might be other large mobs i am missing. Clockwork mobs like rooks wont drop any.

for thematic sucker like me having mourning glory drops from mobs "you killed" isnt really appealing. you know how u get mourning glory by reuniting some small ghost to their so called belonging/toys/trinket as thanks and how the flower called "mourning". i cant really explain it well, since i keep deleting what i wrote lmao. but yeah..
im going to go against this idea XD

Yea, it feels more like a gift of gratitude rather than just 'ghost thingy'. I don't think something you just killed is gonna be grateful. If anything, Abby just randomly popping out mourning glory makes more sense.

It just fits with Wendy's kind of character arc of becoming kinder? Her quotes point to this a bit. Which makes sense, Abby is more present now, and she has other survivors as friends, and even other children.

Dito. Dead mobs already drop Ethereal Embers and Souls. If half of the survivors get their own drop from exactly the same mechanic the gameplay will turn even more bland and stale. >_> Leave the Mourning Glory as it is.

Thats why i thing decorated graves should produce mg instead.

It fits with the gift of gratitude thing, is passive for those who dont like pipspook and gives syergy with mg branch like the original synergy with dark petals.

Fair enough.

What exactly is mourning glory lore wise? A chunk of solidified ectoplasmic residue? and what is its relation with shadow magic?

Basically afaik? According to wanda its "a little more than a memory."

Theres nothing to do with shadow magic innately, if anything its closer to lunar magics. Wendy just uses it as an ingredient to empower her magic, sometimes for shadow magic.

I think its rather like some mythological creatures that have a blessing they only give to those who earn its favour, cant remember examples tho.
