@JasonYear of Worm shrine does not show up in craft UI tab under prototypes and stations when all other year of shrines do. It does not show up in Structures tab of Craft UI either, the only way to know it exists at all is to type “Worm” into the search bar and that’s the only way you find it (on Xbox)

Also, now that I’ve built the shrine, what the heck do I place on it?? The patch notes don’t say, and Wurts Quote for inspecting it doesn’t help. Lol

This update is already out on consoles… the current skill tree stuff that’s still in Beta testing is Not.

Unfortunately, the year of the depth worm update isnt out for switch users yet, i think. I still see the winter page in the opening screen and nothing in regards to the depth worm event.

Nintendo Switch always falls behind by several updates and then catches up several months later, you should had specified your on Switch. Xbox & PlayStation already have this update.

I assume the reason switch gets delayed by so long, is because Klei tried to put a game that could barely run on Xbox One on the Switch (which has lower performance than Xbox One)

They probably in all honesty, should have just waited to release the game on the newly announced Switch 2.

But rest assured, even though it seems like a painfully slow process for you right now: You will eventually get the update, at some point. (Maybe even next week if your lucky)

I think the reason switch gets delayed so long is because the approval for updates takes longer than with the other consoles.

No I mean from what I have been told: The Nintendo Switch is the lowest performing console of last generation consoles (it even has a lower player count limit than Ps4 & Xbox One) Switch goes 1-4 players, the other consoles are 1-6.

Corners had to be cut to get the game to run on the lowest end technology of the three last Gen platforms (Switch, Xbox, PS4)

but again I’m no game developer… so I have no idea what actually goes on behind the scenes, all I know is what I’ve heard.

That said: Atleast Klei didn’t make the same mistake as another company, they tried to release their game which is only available on PS5 and Series X/S and not at all available on the last Gen PS4 or Xbox One- Onto the Nintendo Switch. It is safe to say that this game crashes often and is hardly playable. (If it wouldn’t run on an Xbox One it sure as heck wasn’t going to run on a Switch)

I think (and I could be wrong…) that several developer companies bit off more than they could chew: By trying to release games that should be on Switch 2 (the PS5 & Xbox Series X/S equivalent of Nintendo consoles) onto the last Gen Switch.

So I’m assuming it’s not just the certification process that takes longer, but also trying to consolidate the content down so it performs well enough to not lag and crash the last Gen console. *shrugs*

What is the minigame/minievent of this Year of the Depths Worm?

you build the event shrine, put a piece of monster meat in the shrine, look for a koalaphant hunt and something interesting should happen

@Jason I just noticed this event doesn’t include the red pouches like the rest of the events and depth’s worm drop lucky coins instead. Was there a reason why the pouches were scrapped this time? :-(
They always look so nice!
