They seem to do them Fridays, so if not tomorrow then we wait another week. Maybe they’re still on vacation! Siren11 Posted January 9, 2025 Share Posted January 9, 2025 I think the beta updates typically come out on Thursdays, but that’s based on Klei’s time zone. Sometimes the updates are very late, too. I agree that we should wait until tomorrow before deciding that there’s no update this week. I’m okay with waiting if the devs are still on vacation though. I think they’ve been working really hard on these skill trees and they deserve their break. A late update is just late update, but a bad update will remain a bad update for so long, and the reason the update is taking so long because it needs to meet Wendy Player/Not Wendy Player huge expectations compared to other updates. At any time, in any case, rushing is not good. If you have too much free time, you can play the beta and provide feedback. However, longer waits often lead to higher community expectations, and I hope this delay doesn't end up exhausting players' patience. With the Lunar New Year approaching and some already on their winter break, I was hoping people could enjoy the update by late January during the holiday season. It's a bit of a pity that the updates were postponed during the Christmas season for further modifications. That said, I don't want to put undue pressure on Klei—they should absolutely work at their own pace to ensure quality. I do hope, though, that they continue listening to feedback from the forums and provide occasional updates or announcements to ease the nerves of those eagerly waiting. Communication makes a huge difference in keeping the community engaged and understanding.
