Where does my resin go?

Recommended Posts

This looks like flaking.  Basically, 5 kg of the resin boils away instantly despite not being the right temp to mimic the surface layer of the liquid boiling IRL.  It is often seen in oil biomes.  Flaking only happens if it isn't too close to the boiling point, so you adding the cooler resin pushed it below the threshold, causing 5 kgs to boil away in to steam.

This also takes heat from the steam, so it will have serious trouble getting up to temperature.

The problem is that flaking often loses solid byproducts, so you probably should put in a temp shift plate to heat up the resin to boil the resin immediately upon entering the room.
