What is the point of healing glop?

Recommended Posts

Healing glop: 2 honey, 2 ash, 2 silk for a single use area heal that heals Webber for 8 health and nearby spiders for 80 health.

Nurse switcherdoodle: 2 honey, 2 silk, 2 monster meat for a nurse spider with 400 health and repeatable area heals for 8 health on Webber and 150 health for spiders.

Am I missing something here? Why would you ever make healing glop? Especially for Webber, ash may actually be harder to get than monster meat, all for a single use inferior heal? Is this a joke item? Why is it worse for healing? In any situation you would make this for a spider group heal, you could just get another nurse. Even if you're somehow out of space for another spider, in the time it would take you to get 2 ash, go kill a pig and get 3 grass and put a football helmet on a nurse spider. What is the point of this item?

Yeah, it's an under-performing item and there is nothing good about it.

Like the devs said, sometimes they balance things to have really low numbers and high cost, then they slowly increase it's usefulness and decrease cost, as the community notices it's not working. Except that for this item not enough people pointed it out, and it remained entirely useless.

Hopefully it will be fixed during the skill tree.

My suggestion is if it's supposed to be worse at healing spiders, make it a strong self heal. Give it like a 40-50 health heal on Webber and it would be a pretty great item.

But Webber already has an over abundance of healing sources he either gets for free or extremely cheap, from straight up using glands, to healing salves, sleeping inside dens, or nurse spiders. Does he really need a stronger one?

It should probably be some kind of boost for the spiders, I think.

makes you wonder how many items from pre-RoT are still pointless filler, even after all this time
