What if the Clockworks moved like the chess pieces?

The rook already does this by running in a straight line, what what about the knight and bishop?

 

the knight is easy. Just make it able to jump in a Knight’s pattern. This would actually be really interesting and fun to fight.

as for the bishop, it is a lot harder. It’s not really designed to be mobile but instead shoot from a distance. Maybe it would teleport itself away in a diagonal distance using its purple gem being limited to a cross shape, leaving a purple trail showing where it dashed to.

or maybe it would only be able to fire in a cross pattern, so there would be specific blond spots you can use to avoid it. However for balance it would still have the teleport ability.

They do move/attack like a chess pieces by the way. 

-Rook moves horizontally and vertically both back and forth in chess; similar to what it does in-game.

-Bishop can move on the diagonals and that's reflected in-game by it shooting you at any angle with a huge range. 

-Knight moves two steps straight and then takes a turn on the adjacent square, similar to how it stops before attacking and then changes attack angle while adjacent to player. And it also jumps around too, usually taking about 2 jumps after every attack.
