I agree that Wendy got the short end of the stick, and its understandable why people are dissapointed. Just look what Winona and Willow got. However these people don't help the situation. Thats what I'm saying.

If designers create content that is disliked by players (based on your recognition), this will certainly have a series of negative impacts. These comments are also a part of the impact.

Most players cannot understand the difficulties encountered by designers, let alone propose effective solutions. But providing feedback quickly is still meaningful. Designers need to understand what people like and find balance in the game, which is their job. They will also receive praise when they do this well.

We cannot make all feedback constructive, we can only try our best to avoid such incidents from happening.

Yes, I am rather sympathetic on what currently happens in the beta, but a good developer would be the one who knows their characters front and back, not just do 'le funny I feel like it' perks that barely fit the character.

Wilson was always meant to be the basic, standard, "default" character. This comes with the downside of... not having upsides. If his Skill Tree disappointed you, it's not because the fun Wilson gameplay you enjoyed was turned upside down - it's because the character you like for their personality (not their gameplay) did not get a complete overhaul of his gameplay and design purpose.

They have listened to feedback and opened the most they have ever in  the past years. They are also adding their feedback so quickly and well.

That is the worst part and why klei shouldn't listen in the 1st place. They won't have enough and they wont respect them even if they add everything they ask for. They are mad because klei adjusted an unbalanced mechanic but obviously for them abigail making the game easy is something they want. No wonder why easy gacha games are top games there

And what caused such problems, I wonder? The fact that torch tree exists already said enough. Everyone I know said such thing was borderline useless, when it could be repurposed better into light sources tree?

Again, I don't mind if the OG DS Wilson remains in the game, but Klei clearly should give him some deserving love instead of such low-effort work.

The thing is, his transmutation and beard storage skills do make him more interesting and powerful without making him not a vanilla character, but the torch tree falls flat in comparison, costing too much for an item that is mostly outclassed even with the skills

Please consider this as a neutral metaphor, that is, the noise of a baby is often meant to attract the attention of parents. Part of the current problem is due to Klei's neglect of the Chinese community. They did join the video platform and posted for comments, but there was almost no response to the message below. For many Chinese players, they have their own ideas and designs, but it is difficult to receive official responses because it is not easy to enter the forum. At this circumstance, it is easy to assume that every update is sudden and difficult to change, and in order to express one's opinion, all possible ways must be used, including appeals and inevitable emotional expressions. Even two people living in the same place may have misunderstandings due to language, let alone two different communities. Sharp sounds are always easier to capture, amplify, and awaken related memories. I should admit that I lack understanding of these things, but I believe it's not just a problem for any specific community. Finally, there are some more substantial grievances. As my know, many chinese players believe that Klei has become perfunctory in recent updates, focusing more on the skill tree and lacking an equal amount of quality of life updates. Some updated content has not been fully evaluated for its impact on the game, such as the Void Mask and GreatDepth Worm, which can cause significant damage to players' bases, but we still lack preventive measures. Additionally, in Wendy's skill tree design, sorry we could not pass this one, we manufacture resources that are not significant useful and relatively easy to obtain in the game.this may not be comprehensive, but it provides some reasons for the blame. I hope everything will have a good outcome, but it clearly requires everyone's understanding and effort.

In this case, forum toxic users attacked even moderate criticism and suggestions, resorted to racism against Chinese people, and Klei's community manager failed to crack down on it, so undirected anger flood out from the forum.

I'm still surprised so many people hate Wendy's skillset. It is awesome, I love 90% of it. Just wish the Picnic Casket was baseline and Graves could be built without needing a skeleton. (Or give us a way to make our own skeletons without dying for us ironman/hardcore gamers).

Almost no posts get responses from the devs, being louder doesn't help anything

Guys chill, klei isn't actively destroying their game such as supercell or the bot crisis in tf2...

This game is just getting updates, which cna be good or bad.

Obviously as i expected, some stupid people who care only about wendy gave a bad review to the game because the only thing they care about got touched.

Really it makes me furious. Can't stand those toxic people I want them out of the forums, even if saying this makes me get a Warning or something.
