Not exactly. Not anymore at least. Since the last update, she stays vulnerable a whole extra second, and that's more than enough time for a lot of bosses to absolutely destroy her. Look, I know she needed some form of rework or nerf, but what Klei did is unintuitive and throws out of the window the AI they built for Abi. It works so well that they had to add an artificial setback (the 25% health thing) instead of just making her a bit slower so she's more susceptible to a counterattack for example. Her survivability was great, but she was nowhere near invincible, especially against bosses with AoE attacks (most of them after the rift iirc). I made another post with a suggestion to fix it, but I was too late, the current version released shortly after. I still think it's possible (and better) to implement my suggestion. And it's easier for the devs too, since there's less stuff to think about and implement. The whole appeal of gestalt Abi is that she has way better survivability in exchange for her main ability, the AoE. Now she has neither.

The update log did not mention that they added a 1-second "rest time" to the code of Moon Abigail. After each attack, this rest time is enabled, which makes Moon Abigail, who has already lost its invincibility during the attack period, easily attacked twice or even more in one attack, resulting in Moon Abigail possibly being weaker than ordinary Abigail.

and its the chinese players spesificaly that say these things wich is kind of weird, only they claim that wendy is "weak" or what ever wich is just not true at all like calling wendy weak is just...you must be playing a differend game then i do if you say wendy is weak because wendy even before skill tree is one of the most powerfull characters

The "weak" is relative, mainly refering to post-rift era, when most planar bosses can easily kill Abigail and a beefalo.

Or to say, Wendy becomes weak after the rifts are opened

um, just know if a chinese player(from mainline china anyway, i can't speak at all for anywhere else) says something they love is weak or bad they are often not saying it is actually weak or bad they are being "humble" by not bragging and hoping that by being "humble" the thing they like will be looked at or treated more favourably. ie; if wendy is "weak" then it would not be greedy to give her more and better things. we love her so she deserves more and better things. look at (insert other character) look how good and strong they are? we just want wendy to be like that, we are not being greedy we are being fair.

it is also human nature to want the most and the best no matter what country you are from so of course wendy players are not going to want to stop just because they got the majority of what they want. they want all of it, everything they feel she deserves, just like every other player who defends their favourite but it looks worse than that because this forum is not structured in a way that accommodates that linguistic nuance. this forum is structured in a way that encourages people to be very direct and explicit about what they want and to do it in a language that does not have as much flexibility. "i want my favourite to thrive and do well and not compete with others now or in the future" is a lot harder to parse than "my favourite is trash. fix it or it proves you hate me" and having to navigate a wholly different social mindset AND a translation machine that does not understand simple nuance at all let alone complicated nuancewith layers is going to make that parsing a herculean task.

that all being said to admit this out loud is considered very rude so i am probably going to get aggro from all sides, oh well! as for the point of conflict? everyone complains about rift content being a struggle. it is the nature of rift content being harder of course she is going to struggle, all of the survivours struggle, that is on purpose

Maybe this is not that far from truth, it reminds me of the monkey cannon change. Some Chinese players designed various automatic factories relies on the monkeys' behavior, and they will no longer function because of the AI change.

They seem to be pretty popular in Chinese communities (I haven't engaged in them for a long time, only check them from time to time, so I might be wrong), while in this forum they are just some "niche farms".

In some sense, they are indeed playing a different game.

It's normal for separate groups to have different views of the same objective thing, Guys. I was just as surprised and confused when I learned that Jason referred to Wendy as "strong", same as you learned Wendy is claim as "weak".

Based on gameplay or something idk, Wendy in chinese dst community is generally considered "a good for beginners, but generally relatively weak of all characters" character for real. No conspiracy theories, they are indeed sincere.

We would of already killed all the bosses (besides toadstool and Klaus) before even being able to unlock gestalt Abby. Gestalt Abigail was supposed to be for post rift bosses and be useful endgame in A way original Abigail isn't. Which she was before this nerf. I don't understand ppls problem with her the way she was. If we already "beat the game" then we certainly don't need gestalt Abby to solo deerclops for us! If she's not considerably better than original Abigail then what's the point?

You can just go to a public server that is fighting celestial champion and contribute a hit or two, and then have Gestalt Abigail unlocked in all new worlds from first autumn.  This is not at all locked behind beating the game like Walter/Wortox affinities.

You don't need to beat CC in the current world in order to have access to gestalt abigail, you can beat it in any world and have access to gestalt abigail from day 1 on all future runs. You don't even need to beat it yourself, you can have someone else do most of the work for you.
