Some thoughts to share

Beta Branch has been updated 7 hours ago,  quite nice job there, but still there is something I'd like to share with fellow players and the developer.

 

What do I see in this latest version skill tree?

by this question, I rather mean "do I get the point that developer wants to send" than "hey guys, let's play the game but in my way", so maybe hear me out before differing.

1.Abigail is no longer untargetable during her attack.

  This surely put Gestalt Abigail in a more balanced place, but also weakened her feature as a gestalt. Also, as a gestalt, it will make more sense that Abigail has a sanity aura and puts small mobs to sleep by hitting them continuously.

2.If her health goes from above 25% to 0 in one attack, she will live at 1 health.

  This feels like a reparation for Abigail can't get untargetable anymore, but seems much less intuitive.

3.Refine Butterfly Wings back into Butterflies spending Mourning Glory.

  This makes sense lore-wise, but it's unworthy in actual gameplay,  It needs (not saying it should, just computing the price) to be 1 glory 4 butterfly not the other way around.

  Do you guys think it will be more fun if Moon Moth, Friendly Fruit Fly, Extra-Adorable Lavae, Chester and Hutch can be restored this way? Cause they all leave remains as a item.

4.Craft hat made from Mourning Glory that lets the wearer drink Elixirs

  This allows Wendy to buff herself at a cost of Mourning Glory, indirectly improves those glory related skills. Let's say living human drinking Elixirs made for ghosts is not going to be my favorite idea, also there's a click issue, can we have Wendy share buffs that Abigail has instantly when putting on the hat?

  And the other thing is, some of these effects are not that suitable for Wendy to share(HP restore, for one), maybe tweak it a little as Elixir drains Wendy's health but heals Abigail twice as quickly?

5.Knabsack has been removed from the Storage Solutions crafting filter

  This skill tree is built around hoarding souls, it is a nice touch up for character. As for the gameplay side, it's a bit confusing.

 -Hoarding more souls in jars increases the damage of Knabsack and soul attack, feels like a choice between inventory management and combat improvement. BUT holding souls also means Wortox can be several places at the same time, which allows him to unload stuff whenever he wants, TBH it's actually having your cake and eating it too.

  This is only my suggestion, maybe Wortox can build a massive soul cage that shares slots with all soul jars (contains 120 souls max), he can put in or take out souls when he feels like it, but the cage drops souls very quickly (4-8 per day?), so all these machanics can add up here: with a soul cage/jar Wortox can achieve things faster if he uses it well, otherwise he may spend even more time due to the cage/jar keeps dropping souls. 

6.Woby badge changes

  Several weeks ago, one of the developer said that they want Woby and Beefalo to have different uses rather than one of them take the place of the other. I don't know if we are quite there, digging and fetching is surely useful but doesn't necessarily ask player to feed Woby up. If it's not the big Woby we are talking about, then she doesn't have anything to compare with beefalo at all.

  Would you guys like a new badge that allow Woby to carry an even bigger inventory (20 slots something)?

Have to say better to go and try it yourself before you say it "is more balance" - it is still broken. The patch is just bring her balance issue from one side to other.

Though I agree with you that Gestalt Abi need more feature of Gestalt themselves.

This balance test was even worse than I thought. They even changed Abby's AI, making her more prone to injury
