I think we are tired of the posts about how Wendy's skill tree is bad, so why don't we talk about what we love about it?

Like Pokemon's Pikachu, Wendy and her sister fight like the player and her Pikachu besiege the beast together. To me, Wendy was like that Pikachu, and when she got into the game, Abigail was Wendy's Pikachu.:wilson_love::wilson_love::wilson_blush:

There are many reasons for this, but perhaps the biggest is that, in every respect, Wendy now has a stronger alternative to the top. Wendy's only strength is simplicity, but after the game was updated to add more monsters, it became impossible to cope.

I like the gameplay and decorative potential of tombs.

More commands makes her gameplay more complex and rewards getting gud

Switching between AoE and single target, even if they are working on balancing it, is an interesting concept

Haunt without needing to eat monster meat is so convinient

I haven’t played don’t starve so I’m not so attached to the idea, but it sounds cool if it makes people remember the past game times.

In terms of actual effect, this is increasing the workload and can be optimized.

Ooh, gingerbread tombstones would be a wonderful idea. I hope Klei does it. 

I have to say, I absolutely. LOVE the new utility and new abilities Abigail gets. It's absolutely something to fall inlove with. Her being able to go from be agressive or not, to attack in this area. Retreat, scare, and haunt. Like it's AMAZING!! It truly makes you feel like a more advanced summoner. And it gives you so much more options of what you can do. You basically become the queen of crowd control. It blew me away when I first saw it.

Moving the tombstones is so underrated. 

Being able to move where you get your morning glories from feels like qol thing. I don't understand why people keep insisting it's "fluff".

Not to mention the ghosts (the ones that attack) that spawn and can be relocated to all sort of places. Ruins, fw arena maybe?, around been queen, make pig farm etc.

The gravestone line isn't flashy or has high numbers but I love it so much. It works for base design, makes a boring task easier, and even lets you become worse Winona like you mentioned. But in a way that's flavourful and feels unique. Not saying that we shouldn't care about balance and game mechanics but the little stuff also really makes me love thi game.
The vengeful spirit skill is probably one of the worst ones from a practical perspective, but I love that Klei went "eh it's cool so it stays". For character refreshes this would've been hard to do but since we can choose with skill trees I'm glad they can do more stuff like this. It's just fun, even if it's not optimal.

Mainly because this can prevent Shadow Weaver and Celestial Champion from being summoned. I wonder how will they solve this, maybe forbid gravestones being planted in certain places?

Wendy is not very weak, but in a multiplayer situation, many times opposite powerful bosses, or go to the ancient area of the underground world in the opening, the other characters are better than Wendy's performance. And that brings me to someone who stood up one day when we were discussing about Wendy's skill tree under the skill tree update video, hoping that Wendy would be strengthened, and he stood up and didn't want it, and was even against it. Said Wendy was just a farmer, why should she be that strong. When we countered him, he said that you guys are satisfied with all becoming like Wolfgang? Yet when someone under the video talks about how the Demons are too powerful and should be nerfed, he starts calling people names. Disgusting guy, better suited to play a clown than Wes.

I’ve basically committed to finishing the game as much as I can this beta and within 75 days I’ve killed every seasonal boss, dragonfly, and bee queen. I have a cute sanity station with the crown, I’m about to beat fuelweaver. I’m not insanely good at this game, but I enjoy that a lot of the waiting is removed from it. I still don’t love the temporary Hp, I’d rather it be permanent until death to incentivize not losing it? I’ve got so many upgrade potions that I just send her in guns blazing every time. 
 

I think there’s a lot I like. I like that I have to farm, I like that I don’t have to be picky about what inventory slots are being used, I like that a lot of the waiting game is gone and really you can just swoop in like a plague doctor and help abi out. The few things I’d change personally are rebalancing her graves? Maybe combining relocation/building them and moving it as the first skill and decoration as the second? The dark flowers are mute at this point with the haunt command, and these just help her synergies with pipspooks. Idk, just my two cents.

Okay. Maybe Wendy is not the most powerful role in speed run, but there are people who still hold onto playing wendy, use Wendy to fight, and they are usually the skilled ones who have good understanding of both Wendy and the game. For the long time i have been using Wendy to fight and survive, beating every boss, she is a combatant role in my opinion. Maybe she is not the most powerful but i enjoy using Wendy to fight.

好吧,也许温蒂确实不适合速通清远古,但是还是有一些绝活哥愿意玩温蒂,我一直都把温蒂当战斗角色用的,(不玩速通)可能她不是很强但是我喜欢玩

 

I like the whole skill tree personally. But I prefer low power stuff. The grave and pipspook skills are the ones I use the most. Plus shadow path having the callback to the original DS Abby summon with the murder makes me all giddy.

To be fair, the player shouldn't be able to place ANY structure inside the Fuelweaver "inner circle". There's an exploit where you can build 3 or 4 stone pillars so Fuelweaver can't take the key away to despawn if you leave his arena, and you can just attack him with ranged stuff without teiggering his different phases.

 

About the things I like about the skill tree, I like almost everything about it. I think one or two things are missing but honestly wouldn't be too disappointed if Klei decided to release this tree as is. And I agree that the graves skill is underrated. The graves and pipspook skills are basically the best ones and some people are complaining about them, I don't get it at all. Gestalt Abigail might need to be reworked a bit but I like her concept a lot. Shadow Abigail is cool too. Just wish they had planar damage instead of a huge regular damage buff but it's fine either way. Overall Klei did a good job imo, and they're still working on some more stuff for the next beta update before they release it.
