I've always thought we needed more strategic combat options in DST(since combat in general is pretty much the worst aspect of the game) so Walter's Honey Rounds are a fun idea with a pretty good execution. However, I feel that there was a missed opportunity here. I know there's precedent for honey slowing mobs down because of the Bee Queen, but what about the other mob that combats you with sticky secretions? The one that was here before Bee Queen? I think it would've been neat if Walter had gotten Snot Rounds(Snot Slugs?) crafted from Phlegm instead, and maybe have them either fully stop targets for a few seconds or do the Honey's present slowdown as well as having the Poop Pellets' de-agro ability. It'd give Walter more options to control how and when he engages in combat in addition to giving use to a resource that has literally no use outside of one(one!) Winter's Feast recipe. I know that Freeze Rounds already have an immobilization effect, but Blue Gems and Moon Rocks have so many other uses so it would give Walter an option what would be more resource-friendly since - again - Phlegm has literally no use in-game outside of a seasonal event. layangan putus Posted December 3, 2024 Share Posted December 3, 2024 So remove all slow debuff rounds and add only one debuff slow rounds which is Snot Rounds (apply >50% movement speed slow to target for 30 sec), this would make Walter (ranger) a bit rng for rounds preparation depending on the hunt. Maybe Woby could also get a badge to track certain animals from suspicious dirt pile and dev team need to add more items with Steel Wool material to reward Woby's ability to have higher chance in encountering Ewecus. Although this slingshot playstyle (debuff & holding F from distance) won't really solve the "engaging" issue related to range playstyle in general but with more discussions for ideas, I can imagine Walter to alternately swap between melee-range during fighting foes. Just need more scarce yet impactful rounds for this slingshot playstyle if you are fond of it. I reaaally don't know if i wanna farm ewecus' of all things due to their rarity and the very little amount of phelgm. locking something like that behind a very rare hunt would overall just kind of stall Walter's ammo usage and he's already had enough of that prior to his skill tree.
