Some i've seen:

For crock pots, some setups are labelled as pot:box, and a true or false, like a true 8:3 has 8 pots that all reach 3 fridges, while a false 8:3 would be one where every pot reaches at least one box,

PK = Pig King

"Doing a willow" = burning a base, if you're asked to, it means to burn a forest for charcoal

boxes = salt or ice boxes interchangably

kitchen = a setup of crock pots and boxes

spider lag = lag caused by spiders, bee and merm versions exist

ruins rush = to get to the ruins and bring home a lot of good loot as fast as possible, usually by killing ancient guardian

bee farm = bee boxes and flowers

basesitters = deadweights who do nothing but sit at the base and drain resources

basekeepers = basesitters who do menial tasks, enough to justify their resource usage

beefalo person = someone who cannot go one game without taming atleast one beefalo

hoarder = someone who has the inventory full of all the items everyone else needs without even realizing it.

me 'n my friend group like to come up with names for certain special things and creatures

we like to call the big worm "jason" because of the multiplying jasons incident from the depths of duplicity rhymes with play

the inkblights each have different names, like "tyrone" for rasp, "jimmy" for jitters, "michael" for shriek and "ricky" for rictus

"greg" for nightmare werepig (don't ask me why)

"THE JONES" for wavy jones

"HIM" for the lurking nightmare

and some more i can't think from the top of my head

I've noticed a lot of people use "cheese" as slang for "anything other than holding F and maybe kiting".

maybe it's your perception that's the culprit cause cheese is a universal videogame term that's still used correctly here.

it just means achieving a goal or reward through a unintended or effortless or abusive way.

Or maybe you're just one of the silly people overusing it and making it lose all meaning.

"silly people"

ad hominems aren't going to help your case. Being tired of a cheesy expression doesn't change its meaning.

I don't know what other polite term to call someone who tries to start an argument about what counts as cheese in a thread about slang.

Adding onto the cheese discussion, here's a case in point:

Despite attempts to define cheese and exploits, people decide to disagree rather than reach consensus for the sake of seeming correct or triggering argument

Anyways for DST terms:

- there's Spider Quarry for the infested rockylands

- Triple Mactusk

- CC and AFW

- Twinkies, Powdersticks and Buffsticks are all names for powdercake

- VGCF and nore commonly Goat Jelly are names for Warly's Volt Goat Chaud-Froid
