However the latest patch notes have revealed details that Klei plans to add an actual “Haunt” command prompt to Abigail, this is something I have wanted for a VERY long time as it only made sense for the one character who permanently has a ghost follower tagging along with her, to be able to perform all of the same Interactions a Dead Human Controlled Players ghost can. But.. if your going to give her a “Haunt” Command, Why not add new features and interactions throughout the game that “Haunt” can interact with? For Example: Hired Pigmen Followers can only chop trees and that’s all they can help with… but, I’m now extremely curious what a potential hired Werepig mutated follower might be capable of.. With their stronger than Pigmen strength they should be able to claw and mine away at boulders like Mermfolk do with their bare fists right? I know the Wurt mains won’t be too thrilled to have pigs step on their capabilities territory but… I’m about to be able to Force their Wereforms by getting Abigail to haunt them. Id really really love for fun new things here and there to be added that interacts with this (for both Wendy’s Abby prompt version and also updated things dead players can do as a ghost) Three examples: Scaredy Cat- if Abby or a dead player “Haunts” a Catcoon it jumps into the air in fright with its hair sticking up hissing and will drop randomly one of the loots from its loot pool of droppable items you’d otherwise get from its hacked up hairballs or rummaging its cat den. Tool Possession- Ah.. now this one’s an interesting one, This idea is actually because I have a friend who mains Woodie who leaves hundreds of axes laying around my game world.. so how about if Abby or a Dead player “Haunts” an axe that was dropped near a tree, it can float up off the ground and chop the tree? “Haunt” could also be used to flush Rictus out of hiding or to expose a Mimic. These are just a few of the fun new interactions that could flesh out both Wendy’s new haunt toggle and for players being dead waiting for revive. I Think adding value to some of Wendy's skills through global additions would be a good way of improving her skill tree. Updated haunt interactions would be a good way of doing this. In a similar vein, I think a Global Craft that requires dark petals is also a good idea too. Currently most survivors can only use it to make Nightmare fuel (useful, but not a hard resource to get) and the Psychosis experiment (Hallowed nights exclusive) maybe something like a Totally normal tree sapling, crafted from Nightmare fuel and evil petals. Mike23Ua Posted November 24, 2024 Author Share Posted November 24, 2024 Came up with a couple of others, simply just because I hate the idea of Wendy’s character not getting fun new stuff to do beyond a skill tree that mostly focuses on making the few things she can do slightly better. Re-animation: Wendy can Command Abigail to haunt the carcass of a fallen Beefalo, temporarily bringing it back to life for as long as Abigail is possessing it. Bernie Possession- This one’s an obvious team synergy with Willow.. Bernie’s left laying around can be animated to dance around. (The Willow Player must still be on the server to prevent Wendy having powerful new Switch Character options) Power from Beyond: A fairly Obvious one.. and also a Synergy with Winona. A Wendy who “Haunts” a Winona’s Generators can power them and provide Nightmare Fuel power source. (Winona must be in the server to prevent Wendy having full access to this for character swap) “Haunting” a Totally Normal Tree could animate its eyes to life (the additional animations it gets during the hallowed nights event) which if destroyed while being haunted can yield more living logs. These are again just a few of the things having an actual “Haunt” command prompt can do to truly bring Wendy’s character into being more than just some AoE mob Blender. Mike23Ua Posted November 25, 2024 Author Share Posted November 25, 2024 I wonder what would happen if we could target Wendy herself and command Abigail to “Haunt” her?? could our eyes glow looking ghost possessed and allow us to levitate over small gaps of land for short periods of time? Would Abigail possessing Wendy’s body (and thus Not being available as the AoE ghost we’ve always known her as..) Allow Wendy to have stronger than normal strength? (This obviously removes the damage Petal buff for attacking things WITH Abigail from Wendy and only applies to when Abby is “Haunting” her body) Please be extremely creative here guys… please, Wendy is my favorite character and a finalized skill tree is usually the point Klei feels they’re done with this character and move on to the next batch. Walter & Wortox need more love too, but I’m a Wendy Main you can’t be angry at me for wanting a cooler version of Wendy.
