  2. Wigfrid and Willow's Elding Spear/Lunar flames created this expectation of getting a super cool item/ability, and since Wendy didn't got one, people got mad.

From what I seen Wendy got a decent bargain for her skills. She doesn't seem that flashy, which probably sucks for people, but she does the job well with Abigail it seems.

She always had a strong kit overall which all she needed probably is variety to her kit. It's kinda like how characters either have very little but does well in their gameplay or has a lot of perks and are left mediocre. Kinda like one of devs gave example of Winona having lots of things but needing just some smaller additions while Wendy and Abigail are concentrated well enough in doing what they do but now they have more options to what they could do.

Though the grave skill is an odd one. It makes sort of sense but it should be then incorporated into making them work for her or have skills based on ghosts in general. I suppose it's gonna be decent for shredding beasts or something? Makes me wonder how it'll fare with survivors having ghosts around and if they'll do anything with dug graves. Would be nice if dug graves regenerate or do something to fill up again or whatever.

In my case (& I’m sure a lot of other peoples as well) we can’t provide proper feedback because we can’t participate in betas to explain in detail where and exactly how Klei screws things up.

But when you read patch notes, skill descriptions and watch twitch streamers playing with the Beta.. it doesn’t give you an accurate feel of HOW things actually work.

Here is just an example: Currently (or at least until they add the beta content to Xbox) Controlling Abigail is extremely fast and Simple, you just Scroll to her flower in your inventory and tap the D-pad to issue summon, dismiss, rile up and soothe commands to her.

However, I’ve read that the Beta changes this by giving her something more like Willows FireMage Casters wheel to issue commands to Abigail.

Which involves- clicking in the Analog Sticks to scroll through selections and use a Fire Mage spell.

This is barely doable with an Xbox controller… and for Willow is almost ENTIRELY Situational at best.

For Wendy though…. Being able to Rile/Soothe, Summon/Dismiss Abigail is a CORE and CONSTANT part of her gameplay.. which means you’ll be clicking in those analog sticks a billion more times then you will to occasionally cast fire mage spells.

So the TL:DR- From the description of the beta changes alone, it sounds like Klei has made it more time consuming and wear/tear on your consoles controller to play as Wendy.

And if my assumption of that ends up accurate- I’m now becoming a Willow Main.
