salty_cookie
Currently the inclinations are just boring number tweaks for both sides. It would be more intresting if they had an actually impactful upside while still having a downside. For example nice inclination coul make you not be considered a monster due to how nice you are, while still making you loose more sanity when eating souls. Naughty inclination could have something cool too, I dont really have any good ideas right now for it. Either way the current implementation is a cool concept it seems like a waste to have it be used only for boring number changes. Gashzer
The nice inclination making wortox not a monster to pigs/bunnymen is genius. Naughty inclination could make krampus recruitable as a follower for wortox? I think your ideas are worth brainstorming more. Cheggf
I really like the idea of Naughty lowering the healing souls give, since that's such a big part of Wortox's character the skill tree actually doing something to change the way you play and come with a drawback is so fun. But the actual skills in the Naughty line aren't that good, and the sanity immunity isn't that fun. Sacco
the idea is very cool and i think it needs to be somewhat introduce to other skill trees (i'm talking about having downsides in skill trees) But yeah, it needs something more Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/160868-wortox-inclinations-are-currently-just-boring-number-tweaks/#findComment-1758731 Share on other sites
Master_NiX
I did suggest the same in the Update topic, but yea. I wish for neutrals to be passive when Nice. shigu.exe
The 'Nice' inclination removing the monster downside probably wouldn't make a lot of sense because he looks the same regardless of how naughty or nice he acts, and the creatures judge character mainly based on appearances. I do like the idea of the morality scale thing being more impactful than stat changes, though. Maybe they could make it so the changes apply gradually based on how much of an imbalance there is, as opposed to how it works currently where the effects only seem to apply if you're imbalanced by a margin of 3 or more skills. In that regard, shouldn't they judge Wormwood as well? And yet, they're indifferent, while in animatic everyone was scared of him. shigu.exe
The forest creatures were only scared of Wormwood insofar as they would be startled by pretty much anyone suddenly getting up close. Creatures that target monster characters are typically more sapient. salty_cookie
I am more worried about gameplay. Klei have full power to change lore. Being able to play with people who based near pk is just too good to not let it happen. I don't really think Wortox should get an exception when other monster characters still have to deal with it. salty_cookie
I still do not see this as a valid reason to not allow nice inclination make neutral mobs not attack on sight. House relocating is not the same as having mobs be neutral and not hostile. Other players are often encouraged to relocate houses to them and wortox is supposed to be a team player especially with the nice inclination which is all about support. And if we talk about lore, wortox did travel to terraria which I find is way more lore breaking that neutral mobs dont kill on sight. Just because webber and wurt have that doesnt mean wortox has to have. I would suggest making the Naughty inclination to increase the number of "innocent kills" to spawn Krampus, while also increasing the chance of getting a Krampus Sack. He requires so many empty slots. It is time to make Krampus Sack with a higher chance, or even create a new skill tree path related to a Krampus Sack. I don't know... we have so many possibilities in here Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/160868-wortox-inclinations-are-currently-just-boring-number-tweaks/#findComment-1758850 Share on other sites
