Imbued Mother Treek's second melee attack feels too harsh to players

Recommended Posts

The video upon is the example of "second melee attack" I want to adress.

At some point Mother Treek starts to perform that attack frequently. After trying some melee weapons in this fight, I figured out that dodging this attack is highly difficult to avoid with melee weapons. This attack starts almost instantly with little clue, and the dodge window for this attack is incredibly short. Without the "flicker" power on your side, you'll mostly likely to get hit by this attack every time when using some melee attack combos with slower dodge cancel activation, such as hammer spin attack. There could be a longer sign of this attack before it actually hits the player, similar to every other types of attack Mother Treek performs.

Hm, are you finding that she is performing this attack without the first melee swing? This attack is part of a 1-2 combo which happens every time she swings, which we believe gives the player plenty of time to respond.

This attack should only be triggering as a follow-up to her first attack, meaning her entire first attack is your warning to dodge this.

If she is performing this attack without being part of the 1-2 combo, then we would indeed consider that a bug! It looks like in your video, however, it is behaving as expected as the second part of the combo.

Oooh, I see. I didn't notice that this was a combo attack. That explains everything! I thought it was a seperated attack, so I fought her as I did in non-super frenzy run - avoid first attack and approach immediately, and then tried to avoid the second attack only after I see the sign of attack.
