Thieverpedia
Pirate monkeys have long since been the dread of aspiring sailors in The Constant, brought during a time when no one wanted to do sea content. They somehow made it worse by being a colossal nuisance. Sure, you can go downstairs and grab some bananas...but why should you be required to cross a shard for this? Because if you don't, you have to deal with obnoxious monkeys chasing you down, who proceed to steal all of your things and break your sail. This includes the expensive Winged Sail. The solution I propose? A Twisted Idol. Carved from some Living Logs, two Purple Gems, and some Gold, this idol can be placed on a boat to ward off monkey raids in an area by preventing their spawning. The catch? It needs to be fueled by Nightmare Fuel and comes with a -10 sanity per minute insanity aura. I believe this would be a fair trade-off for keeping those pests away. And if not this, maybe...fix these stupid monkeys? Seriously, we're encouraged NOT to kill them because we'd have to go out of our way to get rid of the trinkets. There's ONE place that we can get rid of them now. gaymime
oh.... um, i like the monkey raids? also you only have to go to the quay once to get some free banana bushes. they grow wherever you plant them like berries so caves aren't really a requirement Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/159975-twisted-idol-a-new-form-of-pirate-monkey-repellent/#findComment-1750971 Share on other sites
