It's a relatively blatant tease, especially as we already have a broken gateway, but there's been nothing even indicating its something significance, so I'm not sure whether or not to expect that it gets brought up again. Shame really, i'm very curious to see where that leads to. Also when it does activate i'm assuming something is gonna get in the constant rather than us going to it. Or it could open the ways to an ancient pig ruin that may conceal a path to one of the two Hamlet maps? arubaro Posted August 15, 2024 Share Posted August 15, 2024 Might be the way used for the ancients to reach the "moon" realm (the dimension thst leaks from moon rifts) or to reach the surface of alter. Basically it might not have gameplay purpose but be an artifact for the lore like how the ancient gateway is a portal to the pugna arena (atleast in the old lore) and a portal that connects to the shadow entity but in-game only has one use and is basically turning it on. I always found weird to have altars in a fallen piece of alter and scattered arround the world but we can only use them because the shell felt...how did the ancients used the alters before? And what is the "moon" realm? Is alter from that realm?
