Why i think reworking fuelweaver is a bad idea (even if you hate him)

I see people wanting a full fuelweaver rework. But i believe this is not a good idea and i want to sow that idea in so it never happens.

 

1. He is alright idea wise. All his concepts are interesting, even if a bit intense solo.

2. Many people enjoy his challenging fight.

3. He is known to be a pure test of skill.

4. No point in reworking a boss lots of people like. Restarting crab king from scratch was controversial, this would be even more so.

 

But, the main reason, is this wouldn't be efficent for new content. This will please some, and anger some. It would be better to work on new features and other content, or reworking something that needs it more. 

The only changes should be small ones, maybe adjustments to his attacks. Maybe make his healing scale on multiplauer.

 

 

If the next update does happen to have a fuelweaver rework, it would be too late so i'll hope they do an improvement.

Well regardless what we on the forums think, Klei have the data on how many people have unlocked the shadow affinity on consoles verses their playtime.

If this number is really low like 5% after let's say 100 hours of playtime then Klei knows what they need to do.

You cant expect people to invest 100s of hours to git gud enough to kill AFW.

probably nothing because there're almost no people that reached FW but couldn't kill it, practically everyone either never summoned it or already killed it, so amount of people that went through entire quest line's irrelevant, with that logic you'd need to nerf CC because most people probably never summoned it after around 100 hours

Ok, we will wait and see what Klei does then.

We have all argued the bit out about AFW, I'm sure Klei are sick of reading the same arguments over an over.

Yeah hence why they made crab king easier that indirectly nerfs CC by making it easier to reach CC

Why do feel the need to respond to me everytime?

If im just spouting nonsense then why even waste your time arguing against me?

Respectfully guys, argument over saying git gud in every topic here, come on this is a forum not a arena.. opnions could be given and heard without that much heat going on, dont believe in me ? well check on smogon forums, any competitive Pokémon player know how stuff goes there and topics arise in every few minutes yet almost none come even a inch close to here...

Honestly, we need to just stop talking about Fuelweaver until the wannabe-bullies who ruin every single boss-related thread with their constant reposting of awful takes about how everyone who criticizes Fuelweaver's game design is a crybaby stop posting and get a life. It's not gonna change anyone's minds at this point. Klei will probably do something to Fuelweaver eventually, maybe even soon, and until then, we can use mods. 

Disclaimer: I’ve never fought FuelWeaver I don’t even know how to summon it.

But what I do know is that it has to be a pretty big problem and might could actually use changes when Klei’s patch notes specifically mention changes for the sole purpose of making the fight more playable for Console Players.

And I think that’s something that should be considered for all bosses, not just AFW. If it’s more painful and not fun when using a controller, then it needs changing.. period.

i dont know, remove the abbility of him healing, and this stupid shield.........yea.....oh and another thing, no one litteraly not a single person on this world likes ot fight the giant tentacle, being forced to fight it to just get to the place....thats just stupid, and they may respawn....and they may even spawn one when you return from fuel weaver fight....yea just remove that part at least if anything else

Having the atrium always generating close enough to telelocate to it is something I'm 100% for.

I still think they shouldn't nerf fuelweaver, but should do something with weather pain accessibility. Making it repairable with scrap, replacing the volt goat horn part of the recipie with scrap. Or making a scrap weatherpain that is made with scrap, but doesn't do damage to structures(so it can't be used to mine things like rock fruit). Something to make farming large quantities of them easier so the player doesn't need to set up a glitchy aneneome farm or go and kill the very small herds during night time and waiting for them to respawn with a chance of getting literally nothing to show for it.

In short Volt Goats are an abomination and I hate them and want them destroyed by meteors.

Its going to be even lower for celestial champion.

 

The bosses arent the problem. Its the vague, absurd and out of comfort zone quests. A lot of people who play on xbox are casuals too from experience.

 

Its not that they find it too hard, its that they have never tried them before.

I defeated Fuelweaver/CC only when I had like 1000 hours.

Not because I was too bad, I was just afraid to try. (*cough* they weren't in the game for like 600 hours of mine, but shh, 400 hours is still a lot)

 

So those statistics won't necessarily say how many people CANNOT kill him, it will say both. How many cannot kill him, and how many are afraid/don't want to.
