I have a weird preference to rather die from being surrounded by random mobs, compared to fighting one tall monster (boss) and dying from them. If I understood this right this is rather similar, only that you also like to fight bosses?

no on the bosses yes on the mobs. it is more fun to me to have to be quick-witted because 5 smol guys were over to the left of me and i have to run or get trounced

Sorry I missunderstood then. Actually I try to run away from everyone who could attack me, rather then trying to go into combat, even though this means missing out on SO many drops..........and then sneak around occasionally or collect pig followers to see if I can collect mob remains like a scavenger.

I HATE resource regrouth, so I disable this, because I prefer planting trees by myself — not burning packs of pine cones; I have activated the option to reset the world instantly, in case of death. It's what has brought a certain tension that I want to the game; A config that I love to add more options to obtain living log is to set Tree Guards to Tons, in the caves.

I’ve been thinking of this idea for quite awhile now and it’s been bugging me so much that I haven’t been able to get good sleep over it.
First off I just want to clarify that despite the fact that a lot my posts may seem negative or that I hate this game that isn’t necessarily true

I hate that I can see the full potential of this game, while most people settle for the scraps that we have right now..

And I want to do my best to explain that, Don’t Starve & DST are games with this lovely little menu full of things you can toggle on/off or more/less over..

But I feel like this menu is being heavily overlooked and isn’t actually being used to its fullest possible potential.

If any of you have ever played 7 Days to Die then you’ll know that in the games world settings, you can change the behavior of how the game will play- (Aka you can choose slow shambling classic zombies that only beat you by gathering up in large hordes, or you can choose something like World War Z where they run super fast at you)

Klei has this “opportunity” when it comes to DST and they actually CAN cater the game to players of various skill levels and playstyle preferences.

Games like State of Decay 2 & 7 Days to Die PROVE THAT IT IS POSSIBLE..

But Klei- Are far too “Happy” with a One-Size fits all playstyle, they only consider “Default Difficulty”

When they of ALL game companies on the entire freaking planet… have all the tools staring them right in the face to massively shake up the games difficulty.

For example: If you toggle OFF Regular Bee Hives and then toggle ON Killer Bee Hives and set those to LOTS MORE then all regular bee hives get replaced by the Always hostile variants.

And this idea… this concept has been rolling around in my head for yearrrrs but I need people who actually listen to and understand the concept and it’s potential so we can pitch the project to Klei and them actually take it Seriously..

as just one easy example: if you toggle OFF Twiggy Trees & Saplings, then the Only way to obtain Twigs is from going to a hostile Swamp biome and dealing health damage to Yourself to pluck Spikey Bushes for Twigs. Which also means the only way to build any craftable weapon, tool or item requiring twigs, means you’ll need to play the game in a vastly different way than “Default”

You could gather your twigs from Spikey Bushes then craft an Axe to chop down the Spikey trees and obtain more twigs.. but it also means you have until Nightfall to come up with some kind of resource (torch/Campfire) to avoid dying in Darkness.

You can also obtain twigs from using a Shovel on Digamajig created garden plot debris, OR tools from Charlie’s Bush hounds at the stage play.

Again these are all features you can ALREADY toggle.. without adding or changing anything about the game.
