DajeKotlyar
So when nautipilot just was added it was promising, everyone imagine automation, boat chains, cool stuff. Someone even made boat carousel but... It all forgotten very quickly. Problem is simple. There is just no use of this things. Boat chains crash into each other, there is little to no range, speed is slow. Main problem points: 1. Speed. A little bit faster would be good. 2. Range. Range is ridiculously small. 3. Turning things on and off. For now you can only turn on/off beacon. There is no reason why nautipilot itself can't be. Solution. I see 2 ways to solve it. Cool one and ok one. Ok one is obvious. Make range infinite, revisit speed formula, make both magnets turnable. Cool one. For this I suggest completely new structure with heavy duty. I present you... Nautipilot lighthouse. The structure you can only place on docks and/or on the edge of the tile. Like bumpers on the boat. Possible ingredients: frazzled wires x 3, cut stone x 6, gold x 6, slurtle slime x 3 (later). How I see it works: So you place this thing in your docks. As a lighthouse it should give you light, maybe in some cool way like Winonas lightspot. Also it will work as a beacon, but with infinite range. It also could slowly repair boat parked nearby. And tile it adjusted should be covered with slime: become sticky so boat does not take damage when hit it and "stick" a bit. Feel free to throw your ideas! chirsg
I think it's time we got custom boat shapes at this point. not sure why we don't.
