It's not so much about the 5kg of sand lost. If the ratio is changed, it doesn't change that I'll crush all my salt anyway, so it doesn't change how much dupe labor I will need in the end unless you can crush more than 100kg of salt per recipe. If the food recipes need grams and not kg, you'll have an unreasonably large amount of table salt piling up, unless you also rebalance the food recipes.

I still don't see the actual need to rebalance all of this based on what you said and due to the delivery time. It can all be easily automated on all ends of the shipping line. You're even allowed industrial machinery in your great halls now, so really, there is only the crushing errand left for actual dupe labor and the occasional desalinator emptying. If you have 20-30 dupes, you also have a lot more workforce available to crush the salt.

I'm going to throw my hat into the ring with this for a second:

Salt isn't that easily renewable.

Dasha saltvine and both saltwater/brine geysers are difficult to work with for salt. Dasha consumes chlorine, which has one renewable source in the entire game excluding spaced out space POI harvesting, and the geysers require either wasted water or a lot of water use to maintain consistently high salt rates. I know the geysers aren't "bad" at making salt, either, but they are not a consistent source of salt early on.

I personally want either a method to make chlorine (like sanishells excreting chlorine gas which works like a smog slug due to the fact they're submerged in liquid) or some new way of making salt, myself.

Maybe some kind of seal morph that produces it in higher quantities by consuming something that uses saltwater/brine? You could get more salt while not feeling like you're "wasting" the water part by also getting tallow.

There are Gassy Moos. Brackene gets refined to brack wax and brine

Fixed an issue where Arbor Trees did not drop seeds if they were harvested using liquids.

Hah i was wondering why my Arbor Tree with its branches under liquid wasn't dropping seeds/acorns.

*edit : i checked and it's fixed, got 2 acorns within a few cycles.*

Other than that good changes but still no change to Spigot Seal Ethanol output ? these critters need a buff imo

Sidenote : before this update i was able to produce steel thanks to the printing pod offering 3t of coal (convert into 12t of steel) but the addition of a small amount coal to the map and a recipe wood to refined carbon is better than relying on the printing pod.
