Winona is the first canonical Warlock in the constant

Recommended Posts

Warlocks draw their power from their relationship with higher and supernaturally stronger beings.

Winona's sister is the god of shadow, and Wagstaff is a genius mad scientist from another plane of existence.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

That'd be more akin to a cleric though, wouldn't it? If Charlie ever decided she didn't like Winona any more, Winona would be cut off from ''her'' power. A warlock, on the other hand, would be able to keep their knowledge and power, as it has been granted in exchange for a service; continued servitude and further rewards are only achieved for/through more bargains and/or coercion. As such, Maxwell sort of fits the Warlock class the most, though he relies on the Codex more than a tomelock would. Come to think of it, he's a bit of both columns.

To complete the roster, Wanda is definitely an artificer through and through, and Wickerbottom is a Wizard (Plenty of arcane knowledge, even prior to her in-person encounter with Maxwell) with some Warlock shenanigans tied in (See her rework short). I guess that Willow is a newfound Sorceress, on that note, and Wortox too, in a looser, innately-magical-creature-with-an-extra-curse-tacked-on meaning of the term.

I'm not even sure Maxwell counts either it's made clear in his short that his current elevated use of his powers is specifically due to Charlie or the being controlling her meaning they directly influence the power of his book which also means that can weaken or remove it from him at will they're just choosing to use his reliance on it to control him.

Technically Maxwell is the Warlock to be gaining more power from Charlie's assistance? I'm not sure how this works title wise, but it's more to him than Winona cause Winona doesn't gain any powers and just get items and assistance from Charlie or cleans Wagstaff's messes.
