It won't reach 1600MB no matter what I do.

I have 32 GB of RAM. CPU is at 10% with all those logs lying around, it seems? like it needs more ram? I have 14 FPS with those logs, and was just wondering if there's a way to increase performance. My PC is by no means bad, it can run demanding games.

maybe check your graphics card to see if that helps?  my worlds were lagging and crashing with way less on screen even though i had a full a terabyte, once my graphics card was a little less ancient things cleared right up and now it doesnt chug even during teenbird fort shenanigans

I have a GTX 1650 Ti, impossible for it to be used a lot by a game like DST. and it lags when there is a lot of things on screen and loaded, suggesting that it's an issue with either CPU or RAM. Either CPU usage is locked for some reason, or RAM is locked. DST for some reason does not want to use more, even when it needs it. Engine/language limitations maybe?

Every single item on the ground is an entity the game needs to keep track of, that's what CPU and RAM do.

By any chance, are there any mods that could be making performance of the game bad? Because sadly many popular mods do that.

Also if you have a good enough computer you could also try hosting your server as a dedicated server (check out Jazzy guides on how to set up one). It would seem that when you process the world in a dedicated server and the game as separated processes, even if it’s the same computer, at least in my experience the game runs a lot smoother and can take a lot more stuff in it.

Ah, alright. I mean, it only happens when collecting mountains of resources. I cannot host it as a dedicated server, because I am using a crutch called Don't Starve Alone lmao, I guess I will just play with the occasional lag

Have you checked you per core cpu usage? DST leverages at most one core per shard. It won't help if you have more cores while the core DST is running on is at 100% usage.
