You dont need the catapults or shootious for them to be effecfive. Just statues are really effective as you can easily kite them individually and safely.

Beefalos with a bell. Cheap, portable, self-healing, repopulates, and takes aggro.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I get that statues block their path finding but what do you place the statues to kite them individually?

Exact same as any normal winona hound fortress which can be found on youtube.

Literally all person on this forum(includes developers) had no idea how to make a hound bunker without a catapult. Thank you for the very valuable tip.

But few know you can just use it to kite the dogs and that you dont need catapults.

Alot of people don't know you don't even need statues as 1 houndious works aswell (if you help it ofc) but the more the better obviously

Tame an ornery beefalo and hold f

Or wear a marble suit and hold f

But in all seriousness, a few pig houses and a fling-o do just fine if you can't quite kite yet. (Webber has his spiders and Wortox can use beefalos as someone else said)

Though I do recommend everyone to learn to kite them as there's always that chance you can get a hound wave far from your base.
