Something i discover about frostjaw (double boots?)

I found out ts max cap is not 5 boots, just 5 fish. I got 7 boots, and i assume it was because i had 2 heavy fish out of the 5. That means, in theory, the max boots you can get is 10 if you have 5 heavy fish.

 

Fishing better than i thought.

 

Edit: Confirmed working. You can get 10 boots max.

Klei said heavy fish will give multiple boots, but i never knew it increased the maximun.

I think it is indicated by the "Holy mackeral" thing because he said that for me too.

I guess we discovered the new boot meta. Never knew Klei made heavy weight fishing useful this entire time. This makes fishing much better, it would be nice to have more things like that to boost fishing. They will probably change the bass in pond thing when they introduce the rockjaw army, or if its a bug right now.

The top is 10 because the maximum ammount of trades are 5 but it gives 2 boots if the fish is heavy

I wonder if fish type matters. Maybe a heavy lion fish does something, i have no idea but sorta doubt it.

 

I gave them 2 corn cod 3 bass on my trade.

It doesn't really work like that. You probably ran into a coincidence. Heavy lure doesn't generate heavy bass every time you fish in it.

The whole heavy fish exchange is often not worth the trouble. Just yesterday, I tried to catch a heavy lionfish and it literally took me 8 minutes to catch a single one because the fish decided to put itself between me and an iceberg

I'm just saying, heavy bass won't always be what you get in the frostjaw hole. Next time you're able to initiate the fight, try it. It's a pain.

Your fishing wrong. Reel your lure to the side of the boat so you can instantly catch it rather than spending 8 minutes.

Doubling your boots is 100% worth it.

Isnt worth if you try to catch fish like lion fish... try with faster to catch ones. Also we have trawlers which will make the work passively.

I have a scaled chest filled with bundles with boots, boots dropped next to it, 2 boats with with a chest each one with some boots and i only fought frostjaw few times when he came out

Boots should stack. It's a pain to store them.

Or reel your line in so it is the edge of the boat so you can instantly catch it.

I did it in proper survival. It doesnt take long to get the heavy fish, you can scoop up some as you go using a heavy lure, or go to a malbatross spawn.

The bass hole works without any bait so i think the lure doesnt effect anything.

Because you can even catch bass without lure

I think you got a lot of luck or the result were biased by the expectation of getting heavy fish. From all the times i fish there, i only got 2 heavy bass
