goblinball Posted May 16, 2024 Share Posted May 16, 2024 Part of Winona’s skill tree that was shown during the stream is that she’s now getting wagstaff’s telebrella and telepad. They showed off the telepad in the stream and it looks great (better than the old hamlet one imo) but it also feels a bit out of place imo. I think the lines might be a bit too thin? I liked the Wagstaff version, felt very DS-like. The new one is very intricate and detailed. kroban Posted May 17, 2024 Share Posted May 17, 2024 I agree in that this telepad probably needs more line thicness on the outside, but to be fair they barely had the art style at the point of the dev stream, all that we got presented from the skill trees was still "raw". They are 100% going to tweak some things including art styles, mechanics, etc. As for the trees I dont think they look out of place at all. The "rocky gems" tree looked straight out of Shipwrecked, and the "moon berry" tree kind of resembles the fig tree in its earlier stages and also looks like something you would find in Hamlet. Its just that we aren't used to looking at them in the game yet, so I get that for some it may feel "Out of place".
